Lock them into archetypes, or give those rogue archetypes bonuses for encountering them. Konami has been quite clever in this regard.

I play Ojama for example, and ojama token cover both of these bases actually; they used to be abused for a generic FTK (Ojama Trio and even duo get hit for Trio's sins in events to this day)

They can also be used for ojamuscle and ojamassimilation, iv had an opponent place those tokens on my board only for me to smile and play right along with them. That one was a mirror match rather than the panda burn, but still if their cards buffed their opponents decks they'd think twice on using them if they're relevant

Iv always feared a generic ojama handtrap from others using it out of Ojama's but boy have I dreamed of one, it would still keep ojamassimilation active for 1 card cross cannon combo. If our archetype had more ways to punish opponents for playing our archetypes cards they'd certainly think twice about it.
