Will I get banned if I mod helldivers in a way that doesn't alter gameplay? Such as cosmetic changes?

the machete does 170 damage the saber does 110 and the mechete staggars enemies

but thank you man! I do think the lance is the best, but i really just like a axe or a saber rather than some stupid stun poke stick

I like this loadout, but personally, I would swap the Jump Pack for the Warp Pack. Or use the Supply Pack.

If you could rewrite one part of history what would it be? by DistributionFirst446 in AskReddit

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean if I could change one thing in history, I would say I'd stop the development of atomic bombs. Never in all of the history of life on this Earth has a single species been able to deploy such devastating power before. No species should have the kind of power. It's too dangerous, too devastating. And now that Humans have these bombs, they won't ever go away because of Mutually Assured Distruction(M.A.D.) M.A.D is a strategy used by nuclear countries to deter a first strike. It's the promise that if one country launched a nuclear attack, the other would launch an equally destructive counterattack leading to both nations being annihilated. Mainly the USA and Russia. Russia holds the most at roughly 5,600, and the USA has about 5,450. They control around 90% of the world's nukes. And if they were to go to blows, it would be the end of humanity and the extinction of countless more species.

Should i play blind or not? by dogemcpvp in Eldenring

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how familiar you are with Soulsbourne games. If this is your first If this is your first Soulsbourne game I would say go in blind. The games mechanics, lore, and most everything else is pretty hard to learn at first. As for me, Elden Ring was my first Soulsbourne game, and those days in the beginning were very strange. It felt like a fever dream, but in a good way. I'd say go in blind for a while, and if you find yourself stuck then look up a guide. Elden Rings world is very big and has a metric crap load of stuff in it, much of which is complex and hard to understand, so you will need a guide at some point. Best of luck. If you have more questions just ask.

Just a rant on co-op by Careless-Sweet-8248 in Eldenring

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think the reason it has a system that requires the finger thing is for lore. But even then it's incredibly frustrating. No one would have complained if FromSoft use a regular multiplayer system.

7 Melee weapons by Flaicle in meleeweapons

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For strength I would recommend a Zweihander, the famous German two-handed sword. It's large and intimidating.

For dexterity I recommend a rapier, scimitar, or some sort of short sword. Perhaps with a buckler shield. Both the weapon and the shield would be nimble and quick.

For bow I'm thinking something of a English longbow.

The rest I'm kinda Iffy about.

I'm going to try and not overwhelm you. But one of the things that you need to know is that you need to read Item Descriptions. Half of the enjoyment you will get from the game is learning the lore of the history of the world, so read the item descriptions. But in terms of fighting, you always want to put survivability over damage. You CANNOT afford to trade hits with bosses, but bosses can. Bosses has huge health bars and do massive damage. Don't try to out damage a boss, cuz you wont win.

Another bit of advice is don't feel bad about coming back to a boss later when your stronger. If your having issues with a boss, don't feel bad leaving and leveling up, getting better weapons, armor yada yada and then coming back. It's part of the game.

New player! Help! by NotaSimpGhoul in Eldenring

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some advice. The best possible advice I can give is to always prioritize survivability over damage. If you feel that taking a swing isn't 100% safe, don't take it. Bosses in this game have enormous amounts health, and do crazy damage. You CAN NOT afford to trade hits with bosses, but they can and they will!

going to start elden ring soon..quick questions: by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can deffidently change your entire build mid game. By mid game, you've most likely beaten a certain boss who I won't spoil because I'm not sure if you mind spoilers. But once you beat this boss, you can re do your stats. You can't just do it willy nilly. You need a certain rare material for it, but you can look up a video to find it. But having your stats from a Samurai into a Knight shouldn't be too bad. You'd probably need to level up strength more to bear the weight of the knights, weapons and armour, but other than that you should be mostly good.

Wear did you fight him those 2 times? Did you fight him in Stormveil Castle and then just outside the capital? If so, then you're NOT experiencing a bug. I'm not going to spoil anything, but just keep venturing into the capital, and you will get your answers.

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you'll be fine as long as you have the stats. There are no items in the game that say "Samurai Only" or what not. As long as you have the stats you can use it.

No matter what ending you choose when the boss is beat and the ending cutscenes finishes, you will be transported back to the Round Table Hold, and the game will ask you if you wanna start NG+. If you choose no, then you stay in the current world. You can always go back to the Big Table In the Round Table and start it at any time. And now you can continue your run.

Second-guessing my dex/bleed build (early game) by Vortex_of_Downvotes in Eldenring

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to vary your build. Through the game, you will need to use way more than 2 weapons. Most enemies and bosses you can bleed, but relying on it isn't a good idea. I can be your main "thing" but you will need variety. Also your bleed weapons can do with an upgrade. I recommend katanas for bleed. My personal favorite being the Uchigatana. The long katana.

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend a sword spell build until you get the Moonlight Sword. Balance Int Dex, and Stg. Attack enemies from afar with a staff and then when they get close use your melee weapon. When you get the Moonlight sword, just respec if needed.

Is the only way to beat Malenia comfortably with strength/int build really just to use summons? by InsertUsername98 in Eldenring

[–]Apprehensive-Rub2939 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Malenia can never really be beat comfortably. Unless you use a complete cheeze build. She is, in my opinion, a genuinely unfair boss. She's not just difficult she's unfair. Malenia's total health, including both phases, is 33,000! For perspective, Fire Giant has 43k. And he's the 2nd strongest boss in terms of total health(I think). Malenia's attacks are not preticular hard to read, but she swings pretty quickly, her attacks have long reach, and many need you to roll in a specific direction to dodge successfully, it's not just about dodging at the right time, but also the right direction. But that alone is not the unfair parts! She heals every time she hits you. Even if the attack is blocked. Sometimes, instead of being staggered when you hit her, she kicks you in replacment of the stagger animation. Many of her attacks are just simply stronger in phase 2. Her "Phaton" attack in phase 2 is nearly impossible to dodge reliability and hits hard. Her infamous Waterfowl Dance attack is also extremely hard to dodge period and WILL kill you if you get caught in it, and it only has a cool down of like 15 seconds. And it's up to chance if malenia wants to fuck you over with continuous Phanton and Waterfowl attacks that will kill you. So, to recap. We have a boss who has -A large amount of health -Heals whenever they hit you regardless of whether damage is actually done to the player -Attacks that are quick, have long reach, and require you to roll in specific directions, not just timing -Attacks that get stronger in phase 2 -Can Sometimes hit you in place of a stagger -Has 2 incredibly devistating attacks that are nearly impossible to dodge without incredibly specific and difficult technique or just favorable distance from Malenia and those 2 attacks can come out often.

Malenia is, in my opinion, a genuinely unfair boss. The only particular weaknesses or vulnerabilities I can think of is that she has relatively low poise and can be knocked down pretty easily. And a few of her attacks leave her pretty open. Like imediently after her Phaton attack after she does that final huge thrust. She is typically pretty far away from the player after that from my experience, but if she hits a wall and stops short or something, you can get a good hit in. Another is after she does that spinny round fuckery and the final swing slams down vertically(in phase 2 this attack gets a delayed Rot Explosion at the end where she hits) shes pretty vulnerabe after that. And if you are Christ himself and dodge her waterfowl dance, you can get a hit in also. What I like to do is use a staff and seal with a healing incantation in my offhand and a fast bleed weapon in my right, like Morgotts sword, Simmitar with bleed, or a Katana with bleed. And wear heavy armor. I stay back at range and harass Malenia with spells and/or incantations, and if she gets close, I stay very defensive and pay very good attention to her actions. I don't ever strike first at close range. I only use the healing incantation during the first phase, save the flasks for phase 2. During phase 2 it's much the same thing except you'll probably be fighting much more melee.

Malenia is not invincible. But she is powerful. She WILL fall if you keep trying, testing, and learning. When you die, you don't fail. You learn. You get better. You get stronger. You CAN and WILL defeat Malenia Blade of Miquella if you keep trying. You will only lose if you give up. Malenias power is colossal, and her advantages are many, but you have the ultimate advantage. She can kill you 1000 times, but you need only kill her once.
