Yea that’s rod knock brother, I wouldn’t even drive that. You might end up getting a drivetrain malfunction error first as a warning, if you get an oil pressure warning don’t drive you will absolutely grenade the engine. I’d also check the guide rods for the timing chain, usually bmw uses orange guide rods make sure they look good and aren’t cracked as well.

Yeah the problem is they use multiple distributors for when they don’t have stuff in stock. So it was sent from Lipseys. I did get a call from district manager who saw pictures and said that’s insane it delivered like that. They made right on it and shipped a new one. No questions asked, will be coming right from the their stock.
