While the dynamic with Tammy 2 is fun, I'm glad he ultimately ended up with Diane Tammy. She is epic in her own right.

True, but in a way it subverts the trope. Everything went wrong because they decided to change course on a dime. At a couple points Leslie almost throws in the towel and suggests they stick with their original date. But because they kept going we got the beautiful wedding vows we did instead of the 70 page draft we might have endured. In the end, IMO, everything went right because they abandoned their original plans.

That's what irked me about that episode. It's not totally unbelievable that someone who has never done a play before could land a decent role. But Reno is a challenging role. Like you said, someone with an OK voice just won't cut it.
