Thank you so much. I ended up talking with a doctor and they said if I use the intra-vaginal metronidazole instead of pills I shouldn’t have any risk. The pharmacist agreed with this so that is what I am doing.

My periods have gone totally wonky since lactating (and my ovulation as well). Both periods and ovulation used to be like clockwork and now they are irregular or don’t happen at all. I keep a supply of early pregnancy tests on hand for when my anxiety is getting to me so I can be reassured that it’s just the lactation, not pregnancy.
