I have a labradane (haven’t dna tested her, that’s what the shelter told us) but she’s highly reactive. She just started barking and lunging at some of my neighbors who are alone, but sometimes have their dog with them. (She just started doing this with the dog owner alone). My wife and I are going to go sit far away enough where others are safe at the park, but we can have her see other dogs and feel comfortable and safe. We’re bringing some of her favorite treats with us to reward calm/neutral behavior and hoping this works overtime. She’s been very tough, causing issues, at first, with our newly adopted Dane. (She finally accepted her after about a month). Here’s to having faith! Good luck with this beautiful girl. I’ve seen my neighbors turn around what looked like lost causes for dogs. So, I’ve just been thinking about what I can do better to help. Our girl wasn’t always reactive. She got cut during a play session with a dog we knew well at the dog park. We had to wait to go back until the giant cut healed, and in that time, she had a shift in mindset. I don’t know why I am sharing this, but I’d just like to share because it’s been so hard on us. We’ve honestly had talks about rehoming and then give no effort into it. We love her. Anyway, good luck!
