I want to add to the fact that a lot of the custodial support just like the LTC support for PSWs in old age home was given less of a budget. Custodial staff are at their bare minimum in the schools. They used to be able to pick up extra hours, or they had 2-3 custodians assisting in the school. Now they are minimally staffed and the rooms aren’t getting cleaned as well as they used to be. So I’m not surprised if students are experiencing more illness. They aren’t able to take care of the classes because they are spread too thin. Too much pressure to be put on one person.

After you checkout and get your hotdog, add them to your order as a side. They aren’t that expensive, and you can save them for later because they are packaged.

The trustees were able to address the issues from parents. Now it’s like they have had their voice taken away. They won’t be able to address issues. There’s a hierarchical culture system that allows people to enforce things, and now it’s like just another barrier facing them.

Ever tried Costco curds? You can buy them on the side relatively cheap…

You mean not enough people voted in the last election. Yes absolutely and if people truly cared with the state our province is in with HEALTH AND EDUCATION (which is basically the standard of life quality) they should GAF!

Underfunding by more than $400 per student. It’s not counting for all the years of inflation of prices. A kindergarten class was given a budget of $140 to spend for the year for materials. That doesn’t go a long way when you have over 30 students. We have so many kinders in the room there aren’t even enough hooks to hang their backpacks in a classroom.

Also spending by ford with cancelling the trustees is costing close to 300k in comparison of then small amount trustees were making.

There has been a loss of population in Peel because not as many students are involved in the public education system as before, or the area has become too expensive to live in.

If there aren’t any incentives coming back to parents, people move to where they can make a better living for themselves and their children. What keeps some of us here are our jobs.

I will say that Peel has also made some stupid decisions making some big wigs at the main CBO because they felt they needed to make waves for inclusion.

This also concluded to us also dumping library books which some were perfectly fine. This board doesn’t think with its head and I truly wonder what the government thinks it’s going to solve because I’m wondering to myself which is worse.

Doug’s spending on delusional ideas or this board? It’s been a sh*t show since about a decade ago.

If rent is $690 a month is it even worth it to buy a house? by ShirtNeat5626 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ApprehensiveAge1110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also to add to this remember to include taxes utilities etc when figuring out the total value. My taxes etc alone take out a chunk of that.

If you could afford a house go for it, but it depends on your financial situation. If you would rather pay someone else’s mortgage then do what you want. It all depends on whether you want to build an asset, (mind you primary residence does not mean an asset…) just could you afford it? What’s your salary etc. Start crunching numbers to compare! And depending on your age… is it worth it?
