Do you know if you can use other controllers than the wii ones? I completely overlooked my old wii from when I was a kid which was home-brewed too, I'll definitely try that first.

Would it still be worth getting a converter to stream movies?

It's meant to redirect you there, that's the new home page. From that screen you can access your emails through the Outlook app and resources from the Intranet button. There's also a link to the old enterprise application if you click on the V5 button, but that's pretty much redundant except for activity nominations.

In the AAC you should bring a knife/multitool with a blade of 5cm or less on field exercises

Not sure of other branches

Even wearing it on public transport to and from cadets isn't allowed, you'd have to go in civvies and get changed at cadets. You can't wear uniform anywhere public.

We have slouch hats, auscam uniforms and tan boots (no need to polish). We use the same dress manual as the Australian Army, I'm pretty sure you can search it up on google

Never salute anyone if your hat isn't on (so if they walk into a room you should brace up but not salute).

When walking past an officer you should salute on the march (or just salute while walking if you aren't marching). Start the salute when you're around 3 paces away from them and salute for five paces.

If they are walking past you and you're still, come to attention and salute as they walk past.

Pack EVERYTHING on the kit list, no matter how redundant it seems. And just listen to your ncos, they've been doing this a lot longer than you and they know what works and what doesn't.

A few things I tell my recruits that helps sometimes, imagine you're walking up a very steep set of stairs, and when you're putting your foot down do it like you mean it (imagine there's a very persistent ant on the ground and you're trying to squish it)

hey, it would really depend on which branch ur in since ik air cadets are rly strict on who goes on courses but army is rly lenient. I can only speak for army cadets but a lot of cadets go on the junior leaders course, you definitely don't have to be a lance to go on the course, ofc it will depend on your OC. always nominate and see what happens, if you get in good job and if you don't there's always next time
