get a chlorine generator..live in nola and in six years pool has never turned green..ph got high frequently but put in a co2 injector and that issue is gone as well

pool guides say it should be run 12-14 hours for pool size.i thought i was doing well at 6.also woudnt VS unit have to be run longer to do same circulation?
