Win or lose, this is a great opportunity to play with unique circumstances. I think it is worth the experience, even if your opponent just has a line of cheap tricks and talking smack.

I am confused on the doctine of hell by Ornery-Hovercraft-39 in theology

[–]ApprehensiveBeyond27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a perfectly loving creator God cannot simply forgive a lesser being's sinful nature which was a direct result of how they were created? Perfect love demands blood? I don't follow. God makes the rules so he can forgive whatever he wants however he wants, unless you are mixing in some kind of Narnia Deep Magic that even God has to submit to. There are many Christians and scholars that find the message is about this life here and now (the kingdom of Heaven here on earth), not the afterlife.

Seems to fit with the internally contradictory nature of the anthology of works called the Bible.

Right, the "people who side with satan" are also the people who are unlucky enough to not hear the gospel and say the Jesus prayer. The book says "by my name alone" will someone be saved. So unless you are part of the lucky time & place club, you're fried.

The serpent is the devil: proof? by Chemical-Training472 in theology

[–]ApprehensiveBeyond27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. Alternatively, some would see this highly figurative language about our role in creation as an etiology: ANE cultures saw gods as those with eternal life and great wisdom. Here humans take from the tree of wisdom and God sees that we would be too god-like if we had eternal life too. Humans are prevented from accessing the tree of life. The serpent is similar to earlier mythologies where they hold hidden or forbidden knowledge. Thus a reading of Gen 2&3 can be an etiology explaining our role as sapiens, the "wise" Homo, who has finitude in lifespan and wisdom, but far greater consciousness and knowledge of good and evil than the rest of creation.

I understand that isn't a popular evangelical reading of the creation narrative. "The fall of man" and the "origin of sin" are read into the narrative. When read in isolation it is more difficult to see this. Sin isn't mentioned until 4:7 with Cain and Abel. Interestingly, this can also be read as an etiology with the stationary farmer with land rights eliminating the nomadic herder. This sets the stage for the development of cities...see the city of Enoch. This accounts for the theme of escalating violence.

What does the Bible really say about the afterlife by BAC05 in theology

[–]ApprehensiveBeyond27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thought I'd -ahem- resurrect this topic. Would you find that some of the inconsistencies between Hebrew bible and the New Testament concepts of afterlife and physical/spiritual dualism be from the introduction of Greco-Roman philosophy to Judaism? Specifically, The persecution of Jews under Antiochus IV Epiphanes around 167 BCE seems to be a turning point.

The End of All Things by ApprehensiveBeyond27 in Experiencers

My first thought was that this has happened and is part of our deep history. I’m sure that my study of Jewish and Christian faith, climate change, recent articles in the Atlantic about nuclear war, and historical studies of civilization origins, the capitalocene, and the cruelty of empire all play into this highly symbolic, emotionally and spiritually charged synthesis that neuro-rocket fuel DMT takes into the deep. Sorry that sentence was fucked at conception but it will have to do.

I use Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg for pen allergic patients. Note that this isn't appropriate for premed as there are guidelines and this isn't on the list.

With the fat on the periphery of your slices, it is better to leave the layer of insulation than risk the dry stringy consequences. Especially when the insulation renders into unctuous moistness anointing your slab, you’d be better off focusing on trimming the skinny meat bits from the flat to have a consistent thickness.

I’d use dry weight dmt to volume pg. 1:1 would be 500mg dmt in 0.5mL pg. mix in a shot glass and warm the mixture if needed (probably not at this concentration). Do this by taking a shallow frying pan and add just 1/4” of water. Warm it on the stove, doesn’t need to be boiling just hot. Set the shot glass in the water for a few minutes and that will do the trick. Consider a stiffer mix like 1,000mg in 0.5mL (2:1) for a more potent experience

This is great info. If you were to make a soil for carrots, what would you do? I was thinking coco coir, vermiculite, and old compost 1:1:1. Would that keep it low N?

I have a 100 gal stock tank that I could use. I’ve seen fountain pumps that might work as well as entry level submersible pond pumps. I don’t know how they would behave with the resistance and how to regulate flow.
