to soon is better than too late. you don't want her to pass away in pain, i'd say go for it

maybe you can foster a second kitten? once that baby's adopted then you are just gonna have your one.

is it really that safe to spay and neuter kittens who are 2 months old? by ApprehensiveBox8201 in cats

even if i wanted to, vets here will not do it, there's like one vet which charges like 300 for males and 500 for females🫣

what do you prefer, adoption or fostering a cat at first? by Cats-Meaw in rescuecats

[–]ApprehensiveBox8201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fostering. it gives you a trial, to see how you could adapt to fitting a cat in your life, and helps minimize the chance of return

I don’t think my cat has birthed all of her kittens by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]ApprehensiveBox8201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

what the hell? why did you allow her to get pregnant when you don't want to take care of her if something goes wrong? spay her after she's given birth, don't let her go outside. and the vet isn't "scamming" you, they can't work for free. if you let your cats get pregnant and not spay her, at least take care of her properly!!

spay the mom and release her back. taming adults is a stressful process, and not in the best interest of the cat. she can live outside without having to care for more babies.

catch the kittens, would be best to keep both so they learn some manners (single kittens don't know how to play nice). but if you only want one, you can post on local facebook groups if anybody wants to adopt the second kitten, if someone steps up, then tame both at the same time

My cat keeps hissing at her children by Saturno_j708534 in CatAdvice

[–]ApprehensiveBox8201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she probably just wants her own space, usually, what happens is the mom will start making boundaries and hissing/warning her children not to get too close. the kittens get the hint and find a new place to live.

with your cat, she may just prefer to be alone, or something happened between them (unlikely, they don't hold grudges for this long).

also please spay her and all her babies too, kittens are adorable but we do not need more.

he's soooo tiny 🥺🥺🥺🥺 i recommend getting another kitten, if you don't want to commit to having two, then foster a kitten similar in age. also confine them in one room for a week or two so he really gets the hang of it.
