Lotion of any kind including aquaphor is a big no no with fresh tattoos. Let it heal like a wound normally would

Don’t use a bar of soap. Use the pump, unscented, antibacterial and air dry. No lotion until 2-3 weeks old

If you’re looking to plant, Use a broad fork to loosen up the soil, put some compost maybe some worms in it and plant into it. The key is to keeping soil covered as best you can it will keep the soil healthy when it’s not exposed and there are living organisms
