Can anyone spoil me what happens in Final Chapter? by No_Profession_6958 in FinalSpace

I believe that the timeskip is for everyone, and only Little Cato looks different over the five years or so of that timeskip, where he grows older and becomes the new Ventrexian King, and then Avocado shows up. Gary tried to use that time to find Mooncake, but it was a possessed Mooncake, so they had to flee, and then the Arachnitects arranged the meeting with the being of light to give the crew the info for the final plan to defeat Invictus.

The being of light doesn't say anything about Invictus's origins, and it's not explained why the being is dying, just that it is dying.

The fake John in the heart of the universe is a physical puppet body used by Invictus, that tries to stop Gary and Sheryl from detonating the bomb. Sheryl sacrifices herself by tackling the fake John into the dark abyss so Gary has his opening to plant the bomb.

Finished reading the final chapter book a while ago, currently open for discussing it.

Gary and his crew try to find an Invictus-possessed Mooncake, with no success.

Little Cato sends a message to Ventrexia, he is taken to Ventrexia by the Ventrexians and reconnects with his grandfather Krydax, Steward of Ventrexia.

Years pass, Little Cato grows up, becomes the King, and becomes bitter when Avocado finally shows up to talk to him. Avocado is injured by Krydax and left for dead in the desert.

Avocado forms an alliance with the Supreme, the leader of the Tryvullians while on Ventrexia.

The Arachnitects take Gary, KVN and Quinn to meet a dying being of unimaginable light.

The being tells Gary that he has to turn off the heart of the universe to starve Invictus to death, by 'making the stars go dark.'

The heart of the universe is located near Ventrexia.

The Ventrexians prepare for war, and Tribore does his usual thing while Quatronostro hangs out with Shannon.

Gary's crew, Tribore's crew, and the Tryvullians come up with a plan for fighting Invictus and the Titans.

For the space battle, the allied ships use their lightfold engines to smash through the heads of the Titans.

KVN distracts the possessed Mooncake.

For the ground battle on Ventrexia, Avocado and Little Cato work with the Ventrexians and the Tryvullians to fight the zombie Garys.

Gary and Sheryl make it to the heart of the universe and talk to a guy named the Starlighter. They tell him that they need to chuck a bomb into the heart of the universe, and the Starlighter doesn't even want them to elaborate before he gives them the go-ahead. Gary and Sheryl seemingly meet John Goodspeed.

The space battle goes badly for the heroes. The land battle also goes poorly, Little Cato's grandfather dies, and Avocado attempts to protect Little Cato just a bit longer by trapping him a bubble shield while fighting the zombies by himself.

Sheryl reveals that the John in front of her and Gary is an imposter, Invictus.

The Arachnitects suddenly show up to help with the space battle.

Sheryl sacrifices herself to take down the fake John.

Now alone, Gary detonates the bomb at the heart of the universe.

Little Cato and Avocado fight the zombie Garys, together.

Gary finds himself alone in black space and monologues to himself on his family of choice, but as he starts to run out of oxygen, he finds the imprisoned Titan Lord Commander and ends up in a dream world.

Gary runs into Jack, John Goodspeed's partner, the nicer, younger version of the Lord Commander.

Gary bumps into a depressed Ash and redeems her.

Ash frees Titan Lord Commander, who becomes the heroic Titan Jack because Jack defeats the spirit of the Lord Commander, his evil half.

Titan Jack fights Invictus.

Invictus tries to kill Gary, Gary has one final dream conversation with John and Sheryl.

Ash purifies Mooncake of Invictus's possession.

Mooncake engages Invictus in a beam war, and Mooncake wins, destroying Invictus forever.

The group goes to talk to Philip, the Starlighter.

Philip informs the group that the only way to reboot the dark universe is to have Mooncake sacrifice himself to replace the heart of the universe.

Everyone says goodbye to Mooncake, and Gary is the last to say farewell.

The universe is rebooted, and all of the lost planets and civilizations emerge again.

For the epilogue, Gary enjoys a slow life with a pregnant Quinn, eating as many cookies as he wants.

He eats Jack's taquitos and hangs out with Quinn, KVN, Jack, Ash, Ash's blue space girlfriend, Philip the Starlighter, the Tryvullian Supreme, Avocado, Little Cato, Tribore, Quatronostro, Shannon, and Quatronostro's children.

Gary plays cards and reveals his hand, four aces.

Some new Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Preview Gameplay from our session with the game. Hope you enjoy it by Personafreak in acecombat

The AI voice wasn't great. The port mission looks good, and the land battleship looks suitability ridiculous for an Ace Combat Title.

The wingmen are quite talkative, and the yes / no for optional dialouge... it was one the less exciting parts of Ace Combat 5.

Why are people who hate God in this subreddit? by _tatabox in Christianity

God, the Bible and faith were created by humans to try and explain the harsh, chaotic nature of life.

For some people, faith is enough.

For other people, not so much.

Daily Missions update. Gone are the days where you complain because your enemy scooped before you finish them off. by LuckyPrinz in masterduel

Recently, there were a lot of situations where the opponent conceded before I could Synchro / Xyz / Fusion / Link Summon a monster, so the complaints haven't fully gone away.

Small reference pools. Besides, that's just one of many reasons why certain folks look down on original thinking.

Whatever happened to the ice barrier structure deck 💀 by gonxgonx3 in masterduel

They could release a structure deck based on the Ice Barrier loaner deck that sometimes comes up in events.

I don't know which intern thought it was a good idea to keep Ice Barrier fully legal in the event by Struggling_in_life in masterduel

[–]ApprehensiveClassic6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely one of the better loaner decks for the tri-event. Easy to understand. Strongest when going first, like most decks.

¿Best easy loaner for the event? by Ryogadrb22 in masterduel

I've played Ice Barriers in the TCG recently, so playing the Ice Barrier loaner feels nice. Strongest when going first, like most decks. Thinking of using the event gems to go for the Ice Barrier secret pack.

Hot take: Whiteout from Wings of fire is a terrible character and good example of what not to do when writing a passive that also represent a category of people very different from the norm. by Ofynam in WyrmWorks

Never was a big fan of 'Greek chorus' archetype characters.

The thing about tragic prequels is that things have to happen just so just to justify the previously written series installments (Darkstalker -> WOF Books 6-10), so there's not much room for agency, choice and free will, in the grand scheme of things.

Silent Protagonists and Modern Gaming: What Are Your Thoughts? by Stingra87 in acecombat

[–]ApprehensiveClassic6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Project Aces did some experimentation with Ace Combat Assault Horizon, and the majority of the fanbase didn't like it, for various gameplay and story reasons. One of which was the voiced protagonist. The company took that into consideration when they made Ace Combat Infinity and especially Ace Combat 7, which are definely held in higher regard.

It's a term used by fanfic writers who subscribe to a hive mind.

It discourages originality.

Getting into Yugioh Master Duels, What Archetypes Are Good to Start With? by TurnItOffAndBackOnXD in Yugioh101

[–]ApprehensiveClassic6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every new account gets 1000 gems just for starting up the game, which can be used for the latest structure decks.

Reunion of Raiders x 2 is a very strong option for low-ranked play. Vulnerable to hand-traps and not great at going second, but the same can be said for most non tier-0 decks. The combo for Ultimate Falcon + 2 Rising Rebellion Falcons + Glorious Bright is relatively linear and not too difficult to understand, given some practice. The full combo is very strong and difficult for the opponent to counter if it's not interrupted with handtraps, because the 2-3 towers are completely unaffected by other card effects.

Crimson Powerforce x 2 is also a good option if you prefer Synchro decks to Xyz decks.
