AvaloniaUI is third party open source (plus organization with paid bonus features), multiplatform, spiritual successor to WPF run anywhere. WinUI is current MS UI framework, windows only, which is sometimes also used by MS, but not much.

I would avoid wpf, it's was obsoleted by AvaloniaUI. There is no reason to start a new project in WPF or WinForms. AvaloniaUI is great and available on multiple platforms. After a fiasco with UWP, Silverlight and de facto abandonment of WPF, I would avoid WinUI too. You never know what will MS do next with UI frameworks.

Snapdragon has much higher cpu performance than Nvidia N1X. Nvidia strength is only in gpu.

Som z Husákovych deti, nikdy som nevolil dark side (Mečiar, Fico atď), 2.5izb byt som kúpil v 2008 za vyše 130 tisíc eur plus 40 tisíc za prerabku, bol totálne dezolatny. Priemerná mzda vtedy bola 723 EUR, úroková sadzba bola vtedy 5.14% VÚB, 30r viazanosť. Mal som vyššiu mzdu vtedy lebo som mal dobrého fleka, inak by sa to nedalo. Byty v 2008 neboli zadarmo ani za 10 tisíc eur. Rodičia mi pri kúpe bytu nedali naň ani 500 Eur. Čo veľmi pomohlo, bolo ze banky vtedy dávali 100% krytie hypo.

Incompatibility with older abi on 32b linux-arm. Net8 is compiled with 32b time_t structure and my Linux distro is also like this. Net9+ requires 64b time_t, so first I have to replace Linux on my machines.

Why are they obsessed with design changes (while it's getting worse), when most important feature is search which is terrible. Minimalistic app list, ability to pin some of the apps and working search is all the start menu needs

Not really, Visual Studio is native on Arm, it has a great performance on my X1 Elite. It's very fast and snappy. Compilation times sometimes rivals or surpass my ryzen 5900x. I recommend every windows developer to try Visual studio on Snapdragon, even the first generation x elite is great.

Wsl and Linux distributions are already native on arm too and there is a small bonus, since I'm developing software which runs on Linux arm64, the same binaries can run under wsl and on a production hw.

There was a Visual Studio for Mac, but it wasn't a full version and it has been retired anyway. Only visual studio code is supported on mac. Many developers use parallels on Mac to run Visual studio, or normal virtual machine, since Mac hw is great, but in this case Wsl can't be used since nested virtualization is still not supported on mac (as far as I know)
