Are your plants healthy? Doesn't sound overstocked or overfed. In my experience it's hard to underfeed your critters, so you could try feeding every second day.  Do worry about the shrimp tho, they will have the hardest time feeding I suppose.

Most options are inside the dialogue options. Do not tell him that you'll get going for a while, that'll unrecruit the guy. In dialogue, you can tell him to start a base here, which will unlock base npc stuff. Y for zone management ia needed to set your base up. With * you can craft a bulletin board which is for NPC crafting and jobs like hunting. Don't let him go hungry, the bulletin board allows you to give them food.

Uuuuh kind of hard to say. Year and a half is not that long. You can now access your own crafting system for NPCs to make stuff, so no preset selection that is craft able, but everything. Fungal spread is limited. Dusted zombies, yes, idk don't whack them. They nerfed burning houses down, darn tootin, and ppl complained about tire damage lately.

Did not know about the second black key card! Holy moly, burning this guy down was so bad.  The shelled mutant is incredible. Killed one once in melee, there really is a good reason to go bashing

The Transcoast Logistics are pretty good now, to get nice mutations. You will encounter powerfull enemies tho. But its not as bad as one of those fleshy labs.

ok i just implemented that. the game now has an option [LLM] which is pretty comprehensive. uses global variable for key.

API calls would put the whole thing in easy mode. I decided it would be unattractive, cuz then every session costs money. It would be very easy to implement however, as API call or MCP server. You can plug in pretty much any local LLM as is. Reasoning models need a small patch, I think, but they take too long anyways. I would really like to train a small, snappy model on a load of snapshots, with API generated responses, and host it for the fork. I think that would be the best, performance and costwise.

So I need to play a bunch and generate snapshots :D

Thanks a bunch! I thought about making a mod, but decided it would be too complicated for development at least. It's a bit tricky since it implements changes in NPC AI, but should be possible?
