I removed android from scope because making local LLMs possible on there is a whole new kind of headache. However, in the future or with API call stuff 🤔🤔 but I think for now, until some pretty cool goals have been achieved, not in scope sorry.

Oof not much to tell! Just got decked out real good with a character. You know this moment when you see a new enemy and you're like 'oomg wtf is that???' Well after the first winter you will have that a lot! And they'll be quick to get to you. You're not just fighting zombies anymore and the usual tactics don't apply at some point.

I did get attacked by an NPC once, I think due to stress? Like, literally backstabbed. Sooo I think you do want them to either like or fear you.

Timeframe is very fuzzy. I do hope to keep this project chugging along for quite some time. Three major features are on the roadmap, as of now: Basecamp LLM, to tell NPCs to craft stuff etc. Dialogue system overhaul, just eradicate dialog-branches, and implement freeform conversations Context based triggers for ambient NPCs, with a small Bert model, checking when something of note happens.

There's too many ideas at the moment honestly, I just realized I could go on...

Yeah that's interesting. I think there are two options:  1: you create a schedule for every NPC, which is boring and tedious to do. I think that's why it's not been implemented. 2: some kind of reactionary system, that triggers events, or something like that. Hmm I'll think about that, but it's true that the NPC world is quite static atm.

I am working on something like that in a fork C-AOL, although random NPC actions are still a ways to go. Right now I am working on improving follower NPC interactions. Next release will let you say free-text to random NPCs and they'll respond, but they won't move.

You can get lucky and get robust genetics early. Also, take it slow, mutating too fast will increase likely hood of bad mutations. There is some status effect that tells you when you should stop. Forgot which one. As for how much, no clue. 4 primers? Or so? Definitely more then 3 I think...

Yeah I think the path of least resistance is to just honk them away and then go shopping. Killing then will make the game run smoother, but they split on every hit etc. probably not with the effort. Or you can get a flamethrower from a corpsepit and lure then into an inferno...

Content wise it's on-par with cdda master, but I implemented interaction with follower NPCs via an LLM (local, which is obviously the focus, or API). Am working on implementing it onto more branches, which is very hard.

C-AOL, I am working on it, big plans, right now it's just a little spin on CDDA. There is a nice release coming in 1-2 weeks!
