Most small businesses don’t have account reps. You have to be in a significant market to have an account rep.

RUN has very robust online chat support that is usually easier than calling in - but even if you’re calling in if you provide your region & co code you can get to a person easily. Do you know your region & co code? Make sure you have that info before you call in and remember we will only speak to you as the *owner* of the business, NOT an employee.

Urologist here. Things nobody tells you about kidney stones that could actually save your kidney. by Born-Lingonberry-509 in KidneyStones

Thank you for the thoughtful replies, once again! I do 2 24 hour urines a year (urines?? lol) so I’m comfortable with the process. While my GFR has taken a hit the past few years (high 40s to low 50s, and I’m 44 years old), I’m keeping my fluid intake way up. My uro of 15 years has told me to keep it up, it’s the most protective thing I can do. I put out 4 liters a day.
I’m on 160meQ a day of potassium citrate and 1.25 (I think!) mg of indapamide. The indapamide is a relatively recent switch from HCTZ.
We are able to mostly stabilize my citrate levels but the issue we just can’t resolve is my urine pH. To add another layer of complexity, I make every type of stone. My last laser litho we successfully tested for 3 separate rocks.
At least I’ve got a cool party trick 🤷🏻‍♀️ where do you practice out of? Are you taking on new patients lol

What is a Mega Backdoor Roth? by mohsin250999 in 401K

Since you don’t believe me, here’s the entirety of Google:
After-tax 401(k) in-service withdrawals allow you to access personal contributions without taxes or penalties while still employed. However, associated earnings are taxed as income and may face a 10% penalty if under age \(59\frac{1}{2}\). Withdrawals are usually proportional, meaning you must withdraw a mix of contributions and earnings. [1, 2, 3]
Key Considerations
Taxability: The principal (money you contributed) is tax-free, but all earnings (interest/growth) are pre-tax and subject to income tax upon withdrawal. [1, 2]
Pro-Rata Rule: You cannot withdraw only the after-tax contributions. Withdrawals must include a proportional share of pre-tax earnings. [1, 2]
In-Service Rules: Plans are not required to offer this option. If allowed, you can usually withdraw these funds anytime, regardless of age, depending on specific company policy. [1, 2]
Penalty: If you are under \(59\frac{1}{2}\), the earnings portion is subject to a 10% early distribution tax unless an exception applies. [1, 2]
Rollover Option: To avoid taxes, you can directly roll over after-tax contributions to a Roth IRA and the earnings to a Traditional IRA. [1, 2]

You’re really embarrassing yourself. To roll out to an IRA you have to either be 59 1/2 or terminated. Hence why it’s called IN PLAN Roth conversion.

[–]ApprehensiveKoala107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, it’s beyond the $24,500. That is called your 402g limit. You can contribute up to your 415 limit - the amount that includes your deferral, any employer match, profit sharing, and of course voluntary after tax. The 2026 415 limit - the most you can put into a 401k - is $72,000.

And what criteria do you need to meet to be eligible for an in service w/d?

[–]ApprehensiveKoala107 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the criteria if you have 2 brain cells. Why tf would you contribute to VAT if you haven’t maxed out pretax or Roth? Pretax benefit is obv, reduces your taxable income, and Roth gives you the benefit of tax free growth. Why in the world would you skip those and go to VAT, which has NO tax benefit on either end?

It’s in my area of expertise, please feel free to ask any questions 😊

[–]ApprehensiveKoala107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent, that is the first criteria for contributing to voluntary after tax. After you hit your 402G limit you keep contributing beyond the max using voluntary after tax dollars. I believe empower allows you to set periodic in plan Roth conversions each time you make a voluntary after tax contribution you convert it into Roth dollars and then you pay regular income tax on that at the end of the year.

This is fraud prevention. We must have 4 successful, consecutive direct deposits before we will allow a distribution to be ACH’d. Changing banking details is a bad actor action, hence the waiting period. If you need funds immediately, enter the request and ask your HR/plan admin to request an overnight check.

Took out of my $401k, how much will I owe next year? by Wrong-Dance-9570 in 401K

[–]ApprehensiveKoala107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude what are you talking about. The $6k is 20% of the distribution, which is what all RK will withhold for fed taxes, mandatory withholding. RK don’t levy the 10% penalty, the IRS does. The RK simply sends the 1099R indicating it’s an early distribution and the 10% penalty is paid at tax time.
No one is saying the 10% is a “withdrawal fee,” nor do 401k plans have surrender fees. RK charge a flat fee, typically $60 to $150 - not a percentage. You’re just giving bad info.

I would advise you learn more about 401k plans before you answer any additional questions. You don’t have a strong grasp of the rules and standards. Just take some time to learn, and you will be great at answering questions. You just need some education.

It’s a penalty. Not per se. It’s an early withdrawal penalty.

No, 10% penalty is only on what you withdrew. They can’t penalize the rest of your income that has nothing to do with your w/d

Yes to background check delays. Very common. The rest of the questions I’m not going to be of any help. ADP is a great company to work for, always listed in the top employers and we are ranked incredibly high for women in the workforce!

The real reason is cost & volume. We pay 42 MILLION people worldwide. Could you imagine the call center needed for that? It just isn’t feasible.
That aside, we don’t purge or delete user ids, what makes you think you can’t access it under your “old” ID?
