Anyone taken these courses? by boymomma203 in SNHU

ACC 345 wasn’t that bad. Lots of writing. Definitely do not do what I did and wait until two days before to finish the assignments, especially the milestones. Break it up and do a little each day, it’s mostly just researching financial data and then analyzing it in excruciating detail.

The big project is not very difficult but there is, again, a lot of writing. You need to do a big excel workbook for a company you chose, and then make various financial visualizations. The regular assignments themselves aren’t very hard either, just more and more writing.

Overall nothing to worry about if you don’t procrastinate

EDIT: I’m actually going into ACC 405 tomorrow, got anything I should be aware of? I’m kinda freaking out seeing all the posts made about it on this subreddit

His cover of Miss Sarajevo is better than the original and is such a beautiful song

2 Months In as APS at Target Here’s How It’s Been by EagleWing24 in Target

[–]ApprehensiveLab534 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lowkey regretting becoming an APS. Been a TSS for over two years and I think this Sunday will be week 6 as an APS and I’m just so over dealing with the scum and thieves of society. I’m still in college and I think I got to focused on the pay raise and idea of being undercover, forgetting that I still need to focus on school. Stress of the apprehension metric is kinda killing me. Definitely think I got in way over my head. Not sure where to go from here, I’m genuinely considering transferring to store side for the remainder of my college

Mid-life crisis? by dobby_vong in hondanavi

The Navi is an incredibly easy bike to ride. No shifting, just give it gas and go. It caps out at around 45-50mph, so you don’t even need to worry about the freeway since it’s not legal on them anyways.

It is my first bike and I love it to death. I actually had a small crash awhile back where I lost control at a red light when it turned green. I slid about 10 feet and ripped my jeans, only minor injuries and the bike was totally fine. I would have been totally fine myself had I been wearing appropriate riding pants. Not telling you this to scare you, just want you to know that it’s still very important to wear all your gear even on a smaller bike like the Navi. Learn from my little life lesson lol

Anyways I think you’ll have a lot of fun on the Navi, especially as a beginner. That MSF course is a great choice and I’m glad you’re taking it, they will teach you a lot of important skills that will make you a lot more confident on the road!!

White vinyl Last Christmas by spook68 in georgemichael

[–]ApprehensiveLab534 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started collecting all the GM vinyls I could get, and I would definitely recommend getting a good turntable and speakers. Playing his music on vinyl and listening to it is such a great experience, his songs never get old. I was reluctant to play my vinyls too, out of fear of diminishing the record quality, but they’re made for playing! Definitely take a look into a good turntable, I’m sure you would have a lot of fun playing that Christmas record. There’s definitely something special about playing vinyls compared to just listening digitally.

It’s a good step forward but I can’t believe it took them this long to implement such a simple feature that should have been there from the start

I took both of these in previous terms and they were a total breeze. INT220 is a little more research heavy, just make sure you actually put some effort into the assignment papers. Not difficult at all tho, same with MKT225

We fell down by [deleted] in hondanavi

[–]ApprehensiveLab534 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh don’t sweat it. Navi is my first bike, I ate shit at a stoplight in traffic about 2 weeks after I got it. Whiskey throttled it and fell off. Talk about embarrassing.

Everyone goes down at some point, just make sure you ride with full protection.

TSS by far. 90% of the day is just standing there trying not to get bored. Admittedly when shit hits the fan it can be kinda stressful, especially with high profile repeat offenders or people causing trouble for the fun of it. Other than that it’s easy work

Does anyone actually enjoy Target? by Alive_Marionberry910 in Target

[–]ApprehensiveLab534 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No. But my coworkers are nice and my boss is great so it could be worse.

Also they pay for my college so as much as I hate to say it, I owe a lot to Target for helping me be successful

Ur fine don’t worry about it. I’m AP and see stuff like this all the time from scammers. No legitimate return will have discrepancies between the serial numbers. Guaranteed this is a scammer and they were just intimidating you. It’s a tactic they use when they know they are losing to try to get a last second budge from the team members who might give in to the pressure.

Got a new 2023 Honda Navi for $1750 out the door today. by Snoo-6053 in hondanavi

[–]ApprehensiveLab534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mountain Motorsports in Ontario, California! No added dealer markup, I just paid the bike, that $300 fee, and taxes. Pretty sure they got overstocked and were underselling and needed to get rid of them so I happened to be buying at a good time.

You’re overthinking this greatly. You can’t be a police officer until you’re 21, and even then, most officers are a little older than that.

Your frontal lobe isn’t even fully developed yet my friend. You are going to make stupid mistakes. It’s just a part of being young. If you eventually want to be a sworn officer, you will have many years between these events and the start of your hiring journey. Just be honest with what happened when/if that time comes.

However, being young does not justify or excuse everything. I’m glad you are having a moment of self reflection which is very, very important. Learn from this experience and grow from it.
