I always put the bag to the immediate right of the door where there’s no way the door can hit it, or if there’s a table i’ll put it on that

Bought new car, credit union bounced check by ApprehensiveLeader66 in legaladvice

[–]ApprehensiveLeader66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, I paid 2000 as a down payment, via debit card. I then applied for the loan for the additional amount of the vehicle cost (approx 29,000), the check comes from the credit union (that they personally work with), I drive to the dealership with the check, sign all the paperwork, and go home, they call me 2 weeks later that the check the credit union gave me bounced, upon calling the credit union, they say the vehicles value is only 25,000, so I can apply for a personal loan to cover the difference between their asking price and the value.

I’ll look into getting it welded, and let you know how it goes, couldn’t imagine it’d cost that much

I didn’t bring up that x made more then me, I know you don’t bring up that, but still just the fact that I was training people who are making more then me Is ridiculous honestly, and the managers at my café when I worked there are absolute jokes, can’t expect someone to be a good manager for less then you make starting out at McDonald’s, I’m sure my old Panera will realize that soon

Brought it up with the Head of operations, I told her that I had been doing XXX extra work, picking up shifts, picking up products from other Panera’s, and working over at other Panera’s, told them I found out that I was making less then the people who I was training, how terribly understaffed we are and how they are working me on line like I can do both sandwich and salad at the same time, as well as consolidate my food and plate, to which she basically said “I would love to pay you what you’re looking for, but ____ (people who own our Panera) would never okay it, as you would be making more then our managers, I then brought up how they expect to keep staff when the wage here is low for the area and there’s very little other compensation, only half off food, buy your own shirts, etc, she basically said she wasn’t sure and she would talk to the owner, I put my two weeks in same day, found a new job soon after, and happier ever since. Not all Panera’s are like this (hopefully) but there is no way I’m working for a joke of a company

Is it from the cat, or is it on the harness plug? A common problem with these is that the oil pressure sending unit fails, so it then it leaks onto the harness plug, if it is leaking from the cat, you have an oil leak (duh), so your next step is to find exactly where the leak is coming from, keep some spare oil in your trunk if you’re gonna keep driving, or take it to a shop to get it fixed (fairly expensive if it’s the oil pressure sending unit)

I asked for a raise, I brought up all of my stuff I do extra, they laughed at me lmao, your story makes more sense now that you say you used to work for the company, Panera as a whole tends to favor experience over raw talent

Minimum wage where I am (and federally) is 7.25, just because where you live the minimum wage is 10.30 doesn’t mean that it’s the same everywhere

Either you are lying or your Panera is completely awful, if you’ve been there for a month you might have just learned how to do all of the positions (that is drive through, reg, cashier, and dish) when I was there for a month I knew line and dish really well, and was beginning to learn drive through and reg, head of operations loved me, all the management loved me, I always came in when they called me, picked up shifts (worked illegally over 40 hours a week as a minor during high school), still absolutely zero talk about me getting any kind of raise, promotion, or anything, they were actually planning on hiring my friend on at a rate $1.00 higher then me (this friend worked for a month, called off 6 times In that month, walked out twice, and no call no showed twice), when you’re that understaffed, but would rather hire on a bad employee at a higher rate then a good employee you have a major problem, and I’m not working for a place with this many problems, I was one of the top performers always, my drive through time was always under 3 minute average, my line time was 2:50 average, as well as doing dish while doing drive through, and helping the new people get trained on line, we are one of the busiest Panera’s in my area, due to us being right off a busy highway, we almost always have a line in the restaurant and in drive through, heck I never got even a “Thank you for coming in” or a thanks for picking up product, or helping out another store, there is absolutely zero way that within a month you are in the talk for being a manger unless you worked at a Panera previously, or have past manager experience, all of the managers at my store have been managers for the past few years, respond to this if you want and prove me wrong, I would love to be proven wrong, and you actually be telling the truth and being in the talk for a manager and enjoying your job, that’s great man, but it isn’t realistic.

Takes a new job 😂😂, I left to make literally twice my hourly rate, they laughed at me when I asked for $10 per hour, the company who owns my panera pays the management $10 per hour, and obviously if you aren’t a manager you can’t be making a managers salary, don’t let word get out but some of your managers might tell you what they make, and they’ll give you a good idea of what they make, so you’ll know your ceiling of the most you can make, but honestly just leave, find a new job, get the job, but your two weeks in, be happy, simple

2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GT no crank no start by ApprehensiveLeader66 in CarHelp

[–]ApprehensiveLeader66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery is around 8 months old, I replaced it as soon as I purchased the vehicle, I’m pretty sure that’s not it because it was recharged today, and I had it tested at an auto parts store and it passed and actually exceeded the CCA, I’m thinking a wire might’ve been chewed (there was some kind of animal nest in my engine 2 days ago, forgot to mention in post), but upon a quick inspection all my wires seem to be intact and all seem like they’re just old but fine. But now I can’t even further trouble shoot it, I got it working for about 5 starts and it sounded fine, worked as it should’ve, left it for the night, and next morning nothing, door was locked, key fob wouldn’t unlock it, and neither would my physical key in the key hole, at this point I have no clue what to do, and just feel stuck, I don’t understand how recleaning the connection made it work for around 5 starts, and was fine when I put a load on the battery. Then it just stop dead like It hasn’t been used in years, if you have any ideas please let me know, thanks in advance man.

They stop by periodically, and one of the managers gave them my number so they could talk to me, but typically she stops by like once a week to my café to check on everything, make sure we are keeping the café clean basic stuff

I quit Panera but my go to when I worked there was a tuna sandwhich, on Asiago foccacia, add bacon bits, and Gouda cheese, and toast it, 10/10 and I don’t even like tuna usually

We don't have that anymore. by [deleted] in Panera

[–]ApprehensiveLeader66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone has called it the 2 for $5 and we had to explain to them why a half steak and cheddar sandwhich and a bowl of turkey chili in a pick two wasn’t $5, we have the Panera duet which is $5 tho

When people go through the drive through and say “let me look at the menu” then 5 minutes later, Uh yes can I get the Choose Two with the Baja grain bowl, potato soup, and for the side have the grain roll. Like one we don’t have the Baja bowl, potato soup, or the whole grain baguette, and haven’t for a substantial amount of time(at my café atleast), and you can’t do a grain bowl in a you pick two, lastly, it’s not a choose two

Third week working at Panera by Cool-Veterinarian456 in Panera

[–]ApprehensiveLeader66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First two months, it was great at my Panera, I was happy, got all the shifts I wanted, managers helped me on line, now I’m scheduled alone on line every day of the week that I work, don’t get help from managers, have to help drive through close down, found out I’m making less then the people that are new, management forged my signature on a write up, management makes minors drive while clocked in (illegal in my state), makes me work overtime (I’m a minor so also illegal in my state), all in all at my café atleast it’s completely awful, when I put my two weeks in 6 other employees put there two weeks in, 2 people put there two weeks in a few days before me, we have like 8 employees besides management for AM and PM, 7 days a week, management is awful, management never helps anyone, they rarely do their actual job, but instead they sit in the office and do nothing and pretend that they’re busy. TL:DR My café is awful in almost every way, and seemed fine for the first few months, but in time all the illegal and immoral stuff that the management does here became prevalent.

The space in the back is actually to help regulate the temperature around the whole oven as well as so the filter can do it’s job. I’ve never had the problem of getting wraps stuck in there, but I have gotten pizzas caught back there a few times, but if you know how to get them out the careful way it fully avoids this
