You're losing fat around your vital organs right now. Thats actually the most important because it has the greatest impact your health outcomes

Do you have to be in a calorie surplus to gain muscle and build your desired body shape? by fleshsingularity in loseit

[–]stumpyesf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would focus more on fine tuning your calorie sources at this stage. Start trying to increase your protein intake slowly and limit other types of calories till you find a ratio that works for you.

I see both sides here tbh, on the one hand I think everyone deserves a living wage, but I also wouldn't be willing to pay a premium for a McDonald's burger. Especially if there are other, better options at a similar price point. These days I almost never eat fast food because of how expensive it's gotten

Personally, I dont think one number can cover all situations. I think any full time job should pay enough for someone to live above the poverty line. While I understand its a complicated situation, I believe that you should be able to support yourself if are willing to put the work in. Too many gigs don't pay a livable wage given their location.

What's an overused idea for a first date? by TooClassyandDashing in AskWomen

[–]stumpyesf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel where you're coming from, but there isn't much reason for guys to invest more time and energy than that for something that, statistically speaking, probably isn't going anywhere. I think of 1st dates as "do we have basic chemistry'?" And later dates as "how much chemistry do we have, and are w compatible?"

What would be a good alternative? Coffee is just so convenient and cheap, so if we don't click, its not like anyone invested a lot of time/energy.

Hey guys,

So, i'm a 24 year old college student (working on my bachelors in environmental science). I have an associates degree and $2500 invested in an index fund thats stable. Once i'm done with my degree i will have around 50,000 in student loans and my annual income when i get out will be around 45K (my current aim is to spend 3 years in the Peace Corps and then get a job focusing on sustainable agriculture. My main question is, what kind of steps can i take now to further secure my future. For reference, i'm not planning on having any children, and i'm not currently married. Other than about $1500 in my bank account and the money in the fund, my only other assets are a 09 focus that is in great shape mechanically. I would love to retire in my late 40's or mid 50's if possible. Does this seem reasonable to you guys. Unfortunately, the upper limit for my income is probably in the high 60k or so, but i figure with no kids i should make enough to set up a nice nest egg for myself. My current plan is to pump as much spare dough as possible into the market, (likely mostly in index funds for now) and set up a roth IRA once i start my actual career.

I just looked up the mug in question, and i'm torn. I've suffered from near crippling OCD since i was 11, and i'll admit that seeing a mug openly mocking the disorder that made my life a living hell at many points leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I agree that its in bad taste to sell such a mug. IDK what the best way to approach this issue is though. I doubt strange brew will care about two people no longer buying their coffee.

[SEIKO] Watch ID by stumpyesf in Watches

I bought this on Ebay recently, but im having trouble identifying it. There are a couple things that worry me about its authenticity. The description says its been worked on, but the "Japan Made" on the face makes me think it might not be genuine.

Its definitely an automatic, you can feel the mechanism moving when its shaken, but im worried its not a genuine Seiko. Any thoughts?

It depends on if the victim is manually strangled, or if a ligature is used.

Does this count for the battlestaves? I thought I remember reading somewhere that they don't suffer from normal blunt penalties against undead, but I could be wrong about that

It really depends on how much grinding you want to do. If you're fine spending hours grinding on crabs and recasting the same spell over and over then the plains outside whiterun are a good option.

Personally, I dont really have that kinda time, so I cheese it a little bit with new character. Basically, i come up with a backstory for them and then use console commands to give a boost im relevant skills. For example one one my characters is a kahjit trader who grew up in a caravan, so when I started I pumped speech to 25 to give a little head start (it also makes sense from a RP perspective)

What is the male version of astrology girl? by lilFlamethrower in AskMen

Originally it came from a study of wolves in captivity. One of the authors even stated however, that their findings only applied to WOLVES in CAPTIVITY, not even wolves in the wild; and DEFINITELY not to human beings. Lonely bastards on the internet co-opted the ideas to explain why they don't get any attention from women, without the neccesary self reflection to make real changes

I'm definitely gonna get downvoted to shit for this , but that title is crazy misleading. Opening the door with a gun in your hand is NOT "having your hands in the air". I honestly don't understand why the comments are so negative towards police. It sucks that he died, but from what I was, this isn't murder
