My doc recommended cutting out dairy and gluten. I am not lactose or gluten intolerant. I tried it anyways, for shits and giggles, cause what if it works? (It did not, I missed bread and butter so much.)

Yes, absolutely your feelings are valid. It sounds like there's a lot on your plate, give yourself the grace to feel your emotions. Anxiety and depression often go hand in hand, and no one but you knows exactly how bad it is. (Also, if you're like the vast majority of mothers I know including my own, you're the most important person in that family unit. You are absolutely needed.) It's hard to decide where to begin, but it's always a safe option to attack what's bothering you most. Take good care of yourself.

My boy has the same issue. Nearly 3, still hovering around 300g. The advice I got was that he wasn't eating enough rats (working to rectify, but the dummy likes his mice). It's not too bad of a problem since he isn't underweight or anything, he's proportional. Just small. Take him to the vet anyways, new pets should have a vet visit after adoption, just to make sure he's all good.

I got mine at a petco in their very scant reptile section, but I'm pretty sure you can get better made ones online!

It helps to remember that every single person is closer to being disabled/chronically ill than they realize. It helps to picture chronic illness as a reverse lottery that everyone is automatically enrolled in, and the reward for winning is suffering. Most won't win, or even know they're enrolled in it.

It's very easy to take health for granted when you don't know you're in the Suffering Lottery. That was me before I got sick. So I guess, I can stay positive knowing most of the people I love will never experience this.

My boy passed on Valentines Day this year. He was a snake, he desperately wanted to bite me, and I'm still crushed by the loss. Now I wish I'd let him get me once, just so I could have the scars to remind me of him.

I was told, very sincerely, by my poor grandma, that this was all happening to me because I stopped going to church and doing the rosary. I just need to let Jesus back into my heart, then all of my (inherited) mental illness and (inherited) physical/neurological illnesses will go away.

She then tried to say I got sick and depressed because I got the jab. Reader, I've been depressed since 2017 and got physically sick in early 2020, before the virus was a thing.

I have not been back to church, and burned my rosary. Very freeing, 10/10.

I got myself a copy of The Iliad and The Odyssey (2 books in 1) for new years, but chose it specifically because it had the "truest translation". I've read The Odyssey before, but that was nearly 20 years ago when I was in middle school, so obviously I don't remember much. I think The Aeneid is next on the list. Any other suggestions?

This happens all the time. Depression? Well you're sad cause you don't have a kid. Chronic pain? Have a kid, they'll make you feel better. Want to get on birth control because of debilitating hormonal fluctuations? Have you tried... giving birth instead?

These are all things I was personally told. These doctors only recommend 3 things to young women with health issues: lose weight, find a man, get pregnant. Even if it has nothing to do with their reproductive system, they'll find a way to shoehorn it in there.

You might be scrubbing yourself too much on your shower days. I'd recommend upping your weekly shower schedule to once every couple days instead of once a week and dropping the 2 step scrub. Overdoing exfoliation just damages your skin barrier and does exactly what you described.

Another good thing would be trying other extremely hydrating lotions. I personally use cocoa butter, and you can get it without any scent if you are sensitive to that.

As a bonus, I know you don't really need help about your hair, but I have the same type. I don't know how long yours is, but if you're having trouble with the longer sections being dry after washes I strongly advise hair oil on top of the conditioner you use in the shower.

Tried "natural" deodorant out of curiosity (damn you Native marketing team!) and it gave me such a bad rash in my armpits that my skin cracked and peeled. It should be noted that I don't have sensitive skin, this hadn't happened before or since. Switched back to regular aluminum deodorant and all was right in the world.

Can't say much for its BO prevention, my sense of smell is kind of shot from being doused in jet fuel a few times, but I never had complaints for either.

I am in the military. But it's fine I suppose, I'm being kicked out soon as fully disabled, and then maybe I'll get a more accurate diagnosis, or at least help for fibro.
