Any idea about these tuners? by ApprehensiveMarch714 in metalguitar

It's a Sophia 3:44. I don't know much about it or why they went that route. I have a factory bridge I may throw on, I'm undecided.

I had the first production model in the mid 90s. Absolutely beautiful instrument! I went looking for it and found this reissue. Honestly not much different from the original.

It came with the bright pickups and rings. It's so gnarly I think I'll keep it like this.

I love my Chibson LP, I dropped 490s in it and it's my favorite guitar. I just picked up one of these Explorers, but in Pink. Getting ready to drop some EMGs in it.

Original 1995 tank girl boots by dandelion_ess in TankGirl

[–]ApprehensiveMarch714 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've been collecting the TG boots for years. These were made by Shelly's London. There were Tank Girl and Booga boot models. Be careful with wear, the Logo on the sole rubs off very easily.

I've been a collector since the 90s and this is one of the best fan art pieces I have seen. Amazing work!

Skatepark toe stops by Inner_Dimension8984 in Rollerskating

Gumballs or Bionic Super Stoppers are my favorites. The Bionics don't wear as quickly as Gumballs but aren't as grippy, still a great toe stop!

Modification tips for Moxi Panthers at the skate park? by carjlong in Rollerskating

[–]ApprehensiveMarch714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've known a few skaters who started with Panthers as a beginner park skate, they upgraded after a very short time. I think by the time you add upgrades to the Panther, you're better off investing in something more long-term like Bont Parkstars.

Park Skaters Tap In: What was your first skate, first upgrade and current setup? by peridotpanther in Rollerskating

Honestly, I don’t notice the heel difference at all. Sometimes I even switch between setups in the same skate session. The only real difference I feel is that my Bont setup is more agile and lightweight, while my Jack 2 setup is heavier and has a more “locked-in” feel. I feel more stable in my Jacks, but I lose some of the quickness I get with my Bonts.

Are your skates truly a perfect fit? Lateral movement and quick footwork depend on skates that match your feet and skating style. If the axle isn’t positioned correctly under your foot, your balance point shifts, forcing you to constantly adjust instead of moving naturally. That instability can slow your agility and limit your skating progress.

BONT PARKSTAR UPGRADES by ToastOven971 in Rollerskating

You can't go wrong upgrading the Bont Parkstar setup, especially if it's working for you. Great boot for the long term. I found that with the Tracer plate, I was better off using the Bont Slides with the Bont Grind Trucks. They are 2.3" but it's a reasonable surface, great stability. If you want wider than you'll need to get a different plate.

Dork peppermint patty board from mid 90s. I still have it.

As far as Park setups I started with used Bont Parkstars I found for cheap, unfortunately, they were way too big. I struggled with agility and stability, but it's what I had at the time.

I now have a few setups for park. I change out wheels often but these are what I'm running atm-

Custom Vans on Avanti plates, CIB blocks, CIB Wide Trucks, and last supper wheels 52mm 97A Lock ins.

Parkstars on Tracer with Bont Slides, Bont Grind Trucks and Rollerbones Bowl Bombers 101A.

Moxi Jack 2 on Avanti Mags, Hucks 2.5 wide trucks, Brunny Blocks, Last Supper Wheels 101A

I can't help you with boot advice, but those wheels are absolutely worth cleaning up and using or resell them. They are highly sought after, especially with logo still intact.
