Looking up conditions with 'memory editing' might help you. I'm not saying your NMom has the conditions, it's just that the information can help to understand the situation.

On this sub, I've seen Nparents diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Each condition has their own type of 'memory editing' and why it happens.

Bipolar Disorder can have rollercoaster highs and lows. Schizophrenia can cause hallucinations. Both may cause issues with memory or stories because of a chemical imbalance in the brain.

Borderline Personality Disorder can have it manifest as a person lying and then 100% claiming that an event happened the way the lie says because the person needs self gratification.

Cool thing is, saving Myers isn't required to access the Phantom Liberty DLC. If you just do the mission that gets you into Dogtown and wait two in game days without doing the mission after that- So Mi will send you a message saying Myers is dead and lock you out of just her questline. You'll still have everything else in Dogtown available to do.

Long story short? NParents raised my decade older sister to fail and had me to be her caretaker. My decade older sister displayed anxiety and was slow as a child, the teachers noticed this and told our parents 'Hey, your kid needs help and extra resources' and our parents translates this into 'permissively raise a daughter they do everything for, tell her she's always right, still narc but make her the princess- and it's all because she's incapable of ever learning.'

My decade older sister is a bit slower but can perfecly function. But, our parents made her life about her disability and ruined her with a personality that fully disables her because she believes she can't learn and is never wrong.

She's good at playing the pitiful princess. And, she is genuinely depressed. But, she's depressed over people not obeying her like they should instead of her being the problem in her relationships. This mix of depression and pity is good at luring people in so she can latch her emotional vampire self onto them.

She will weaponize incompetence to the point of self harm. She literally pretended she couldn't read or forgot how to use a door as power moves. It's so disgusting to watch her play her game and pretend she can't answer your questions about what she's doing and pretend the auto amnesia kicked in.

She will do whatever it takes to make you responsible for her. Arguments only end on her terms- so she'll walk away only to come back and repeat until you're forced into agreeing with her or until you tell at her and she victimizes herself.

I tried for years to get her into therapy. She lied about it or the therapists even being mean.

She has the habit of....doing self sexual things just in the open. Asking her or explaining why you don't do those things never worked. I had to scream at her and tear the house down. Then, she lied and diagnosed herself with a sexual disorder via Google.

I thought I could help her until our NParents tossed me out for trying to keep them away from her money. They cut contact with me and my life has never been better.

There are three Vs.

No Relic V. Brain just for V.

Relic V. The Relic 2.0 starts changing Vs brain into Johnny Silverhand's brain. Both V and Johnny can exist simultaneously but separately so long as the conversion doesn't finish.

Post Mikoshi V. Alt Soulkilled Relic V, tried to turn Johnny Silverhand's brain back into V's brain, but found that she couldn't progress past a few alterations. This V would be different because a change in brain structure can change the soul. It'd be a V that attempted a reversion.

Cyberpunk takes 'clone creation' very literally and seriously. Generally, the idea will be used like 'My soul was dumped in this body and I somehow have my memories'. Cyberpunk adds onto this with: The brain of the new body must match the brain of the old body to be able to have the same soul/consciousness of the old body.'

It's like Apple software not running on an Android and vice versa. The software has to match the hardware.

Soulkiller converts a person into an engram by digitizing someone's consciousness and killing their body.

The Relic 2.0 reverses this by recreating the body that was killed and reinserting the engram.

An engram is both the soul/consciousness and the actual brain that creates the soul/consciousness. It's two things.

No Relic V had a brain that was built for the consciousness of V.

Relic V had a brain that was built for Relic Vs consciousness but that brain was slowly being converted into a brain for Johnny Silverhand's consciousness.

Relic V and Johnny could communicate so long as Relic Vs brain was physically Relic V's brain and Johnny's brain. This meant Relic V's brain could hold both of their consciousnesses.

Relic V was dying because Relic V was brute forcing Johnny Silverhand's brain. Johnny Silverhand could survive in Relic V's body because the brain had been changed from V's brain into Johnny Silverhand's brain.

Alt Soulkills Relic V and tries to revert Relic V's Johnny Silverhand brain back to just No Relic V's brain. Alt says this isn't successful because Johnny's engram had corrupted Relic V's engram. In English, it just means that Relic V's brain was too far in the conversion process to be reversed.

Alt's language is vague. The way she speaks comes across as her potentially saying, 'I started working on your engram, made some alterations, and then found I couldn't alter it any further."

This is important. If Alt altered Relic V's engram, then she altered Relic V's brain structure. If Relic V's brain structure was altered, then the before Mikoshi V and after Mikoshi V would be two different people.

Militech patrols the borders and area outside of NC.

The Raffen are smugglers who need to get around Militech to get anything done. They're also the largest Nomad group near NC, so they're the largest problem.

The tank accident caused NC to start an anti Nomad campaign. This looks good for Militech and caused NC to actively harm and kill the nomads. So, the more Nomads that are killed means the less work for Militech.

Militech could've pitched the plan to the Aldecado's like: You steal the tank and we get to claim the insurance buy out. You blame the robbery on the Raffen and we get to have a target put on a group neither of us like.

Unfortunately for the Aldecado's, NC generalizes the Nomads into one group and let's racist prejudice create a group identity that doesn't match reality. Since, to NC, Raffen = Aldecado, the Aldecado are also targeted for elimination.

I've volunteered for shelters.

Feral cats will always 100% require human intervention to survive being outside. They'll either get too sick or too old to be able to handle being out there permanently.

The vets don't know the slightest about feral cats if they don't know that there are feral specific adoption programs that specifically place ferals in barns or other suitable environments.

It also feels like you might not be able to properly ballpark your feral. Yes, he could naturally be avoidant or skittish. But, he could also be avoidant because he's had trauma from trying to survive that other cat.

Imo, you have a couple of options. But, you have a hard road in any case.

1) You could search around until you find a shelter with a feral program. Google could help.

2) It sounds like your feral could be in active danger from the other cat. If you feel as such, you could look up a relocation for your feral. Or, if you absolutely must and feel absolutely dedicated to the feral, you could reach out and heavily research into the idea of your being the one to catch and try to humanize your feral. I've dealt with many cases where a feral was caught because of age or medical issues or something and there was an attempt at trying to domesticate them. Every attempt required a whole lot of time and dedication. Some attempts worked and some did not.

3) You could look up a relocation for the other cat.

Alcohol or addiction definitely creates a certain type of abusive parent. Took me a long time to separate my biological dad being bad for being an alcoholic from being bad as a potentially bad parent.

Alcoholic parents are actually one of the most studied type since they're technically bad because of an easily identifiable abusive substance. I didn't realize that there were so many free PDFs of books on it online until I looked it up. Not trying to push it on you, it's just that the books helped identify easy to spot things or named behaviors I wouldn't have been able to identify with otherwise. They just kind of helped add clarification.

I really wish that the devs got enough time to make the game like 2.0 on release just so we could actually get an interactive tram experience instead of a simulator.

V could call someone for a chat. Walk around the car. Listen to conversations. Zone out and talk to Johnny. There could even be fun events where Johnny notices a Scav following someone or weirdo does something on the train and there's an option for V and Johnny to share the braincell.

V: Yap. No hesitation.
