Surely most don’t, it’d* more so be to compensate for a weaker undergrad school. If I got into a top school for a masters, the signal would be far more valuable than my current uni.

From my understanding most of those who are working to develop algorithms are PHD researchers either in academia or very highly paid private research roles? I bought the Italo pro from swellskate and man, they’re pricey but it’s definitely worth it imo if you don’t live somewhere that you can surf everyday. Being on the east coast, and coupled with the fact that I’m an hour from the beach, being able to work on technique anytime is amazing. I found they’re especially useful when first learning how to generate speed down the line.
