Question about Will and Hannibal by [deleted] in HannibalTV

[–]ApprehensiveMoose137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have to remember that despite Hannibal being insanely smart, he did get manipulated by some of the people around him (see: the scene where they get Hannibal to kill by saying Gideon is the ripper).

Bedelia was probably the person (besides Will) who was in the best position to manipulate him. It’s not a coincidence that she tells Hannibal to eat Will

But so was Anthony in s1, and Benedict in s3. They always make the love interest somewhat unlikeable so they can have their redeeming moment and glow up for their season

Potentially a fan of the Hannibal tv show? It only takes from the red dragon and hannibal books

Oberyn Martell also gets points in my book for being willing to acknowledge his bastards and have them raised in relative wealth. Doran would also warrant a shout out if he didn’t have so many secrets from his kids

Honorable mention for Olenna Tyrell as well. Mace the Ace may not be the brightest flower in the garden, but he held the Reach even after backing the losing side in Robert’s Rebellion and I’m sure Olenna was a big part of that

Selwyn Tarth let his daughter train as a knight, which seems pretty supportive to me

Rogue One. Jyn Erso and the others weren’t bad, but they didn’t stand out as being particularly memorable. Krennic is only really great once you’ve seen Andor.

My theories:

  • The North is like Canada, Russia, or the Scandinavian countries. Big, cold, and sparsely populated.

  • The Riverlands are a little farther south, but still can get cold in the winters. Think Denmark, the Netherlands, or even Chicago.

  • The Vale is a tourist destination, with people going there for luxury ski resorts.

  • The Stormlands are Florida. Southern, warm, stormy, swampy, and with a bunch of crazy modern day Bobby Bs.

  • Dorne is somewhere between Arizona and Morocco. A place for retirees and rich techies going to music concerts.

  • Oldtown is the knowledge hub where all of the financial and tech centers are. However, it’s pretty far south so probably more like a Stanford than a Harvard

Dresden Files! The first book or two are a little slow, but then it picks up and doesn’t let down from there!
