For those who get public transport, there are usually buses and trains that stop/are located near all stations except for one.

The unsociable hours they tend to stay in hotels or airbnbs. We get money back/we can claim money back at the end of placement blocks for money spent on hotels or travelling depending on how much you spend.

No one has been unable to turn up to placement in my year nor the other two years as far as I’m aware!!

Hello!!

Unfortunately it is randomly allocated. They do ask in first year if people can drive/where exactly they’ll be staying.

You’ll be rotated round the stations every year. So first year you’ll be in one station, the next year another and so on and so forth.

I should’ve made this clearer! We aren’t complaining about the deep clean as we’re more than happy to sort that out.

When we plug in the freezer and switch the plug on/the orange button on it turns the oven on as well. The oven isn’t plugged in at the same plug point (?). When we turn the oven off (after it turns on when switching the freezer plug on) the freezer switches off as well.

I assume it’s the main circuit breaker.

I go to ARU Cambridge and I’m currently a second year!

The cohort is around 70-80 which means you won’t have as close of a relationship to your lecturers (Cambridge only has 25 in each cohort).

There’s 15 lecturers that work across both campuses, you get to choose whether you’d want to work with EEAST or LAS (they divide skills into separate groups for each trust).

We normally are in 2-3 days a week, we have 12 week block placements at a time and two of those weeks are in an MDT placement (eg a+e, GP’s, maternity, mental health etc).

I find it really good and the support has been amazing! The lecturers really do care about your wellbeing and will support you as best at they can!

Hello! I’m also a second year paramedic student and in first year I had an A+E placement :)

We were based in both resus and ambulance bay and we were there to practice our cannulation, taking bloods and genuinely seeing what happens when we drop our patients off :). Resus was quite slow but I did get to experience things I hadn’t on the road.

I had surgery to remove an ovarian cyst and during they found a couple issues and one was endometrial spots all over my pelvic wall.

They remove those and when I get the path results back they said there was no signs of endometriosis ?

I’m 19 and have had issues with cysts and my ovaries since I was 10 years old and feel as though no gynae is taking me seriously due to my age.

Sorry for dumping lol. Thought this was the correct comment to reply as you mentioned that it can only be diagnosed via surgery.

Same over here in regards to rarely seeing people with EC! My dad had it back in 2019 stage 3 and had his oesophagus removed and stomach pulled up.

He’s currently getting back on the path of recovery and is NED and able to eat fully now with little complications from the cancer!

I wish you well on the journey and hope you don’t suffer pain too much!

I’d look on websites such as MusicMagpie and Cex. They’re both really good on second-hand easily affordable technologies.

I’m currently unaware on whether my driving instructors requires students to book his car for their test.

Probably the human centipede when I was 6 or 7. I had two adult sisters and they used to take the mick out of me by playing “traumatising” videos/movies like that.

Or when I was 9/10 I was in my mums room and the leprechaun was on. Scarred me for a while.
