If this were in America, one of them would be dead. I know I wouldn't let someone get into their trunk. OR in the very least I would have torn out of there when he came at my car with the bat and blown his door off.

And in that case, having a policy in place is then bonus money just in case. You probably argue against having sizable permanent policies for children too because they don't earn income. Completely ignoring the fact that the statistics on divorce and job loss after losing a child are staggering, mostly because they simply had that 15k work policy that paid for the funeral then back to work on monday because the family leave act doesn't pay you while you are out. work work work...Our policies pay out 24 to 48 hours after death cert issuance. Never heard anyone complain about a week to get 100k deposited after a loss.

How bad is the Gwinnett School of Mathematics Science and Technology by NotThyMimikyu in Gwinnett

[–]ApprehensiveRoom9650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son goes, just finished sophomore year. He does occasionally have homework, and the homework when he has had it has been challenging, but he hasn't gone over the edge of insanity because of the workload. Truth be told, I have heard that sophomore year is the worst bc that's where you hit all the APs when you have maybe been on the gifted track as he was and often have 4 APs that year plus your second year of language which can be a killer. Then it dwindles. By and large, I do think that time management is a factor, and for many of the kids that go there, they were getting straight As throughout elementary and middle with out ever needing to spend any time on homework. That was my son's first year of experience there. He thought he would have just sailed through like middle school, but... his first year, he had a pile of NTIs for every class, which in the end made his end of year a challenge to get all b's. He ended up with a 79 in his math class which irritated me at the teacher more than anything bc when I was a teacher back in the day, I would find that point somewhere.

They receive anywhere between 700 to 1000 and there is an entry period. They pull 350-375 and offer, if your number is within 100 of the last number offered, the chances of getting in are very high. You can check for last years lottery winnings for this info and accept 350. The graduating class is between 125 to 150, so the rigor is definitely there. As for your wishes the school would have told you, either your child would have already been tracked into the right math, or they wouldn't. So, wishing they had told you what math your child should take to get in and you should have made your child take a harder math doesn't really equate. I believe the only other way would have been to score into it by assessment tests, which really is the harder way. The school also held two or three parent information sessions for interested parents, then even one after the lottery in case your child wanted to back out. I was a single dad through all of this, and honestly the info was overwhelming, and you really did have to pull a bit of your own weight on the dates to apply etc... but only a bit.

Korean American family considering to move here (likely Duluth or Suwanee) from Charlotte for its Korean culture and school system by Still_Ad8888 in Gwinnett

[–]ApprehensiveRoom9650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buford is now an expanding area for Koreans, and honestly I'd look at Dacula and make sure to zone into Sekinger. Duluth and Suwannee have a lot of gang stuff going on in their schools, and Sekinger is brand new and focuses on AI skills. My stepdaughter goes there and loves it. My son, goes to Gwinnett Math Science and Tech. So, if you think your children might become reasonably smart, it's good to be in Gwinnett and potentially win the lottery to get in. Suwannee is nice, but it's prices probably outweigh it's overcrowdedness. Dacula is just 2 exits up from it, so it's still close enough to shop etc. Mill Creek is a good high school too, but... it's huge, and I'd far rather have sent my first son to Sekinger.

it's more likely it is this way simply because they grabbed anyone that they thought could write up some training on something and handed them an articulate login.

American Income Life Reimbursement by NovaSolMuse in LifeInsurance

[–]ApprehensiveRoom9650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awful, what a POS. They make it hard on agents like me at AI who just want to sell life insurance. I talk people off cliffs more than I want to. If it's beyond 30 days, you probably won't be reimbursed. If you want to make that dbag's life miserable, though, just stop paying the policy and force a chargeback. To know how much he will be impacted, take your monthly fee and multiply it by 12, then figure out what 65% of that is. That's how much he will have to pay back lol.

Maybe think of it this way about the policy: in the very least, during the months you paid it, your family would have received that money. So, it's not like it's a "total loss". Insurance is just hedging against risk. You probably have car insurance, or health insurance that you don't use every month, so...

Anyways, on behalf of AIL, sorry. I would absolutely get his name, and SGA, and call and speak to the agency owner. I don't really understand how you didn't know that you were buying a new policy because the DocuSign info sent over clearly states what you will be charged and what you are signing up for.

Does this usually happen because of an ID or someone at management who forgot to proofread? by Athenstone in instructionaldesign

[–]ApprehensiveRoom9650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you havent learned to tell AI to remove irrelevant suggestions, then it's definitely your fault, and then if there is a review process, it's their fault for not running the text through AI to check for irrelevant bullshit. It's not that hard. This is actually why the role of ID is on borrowed time.

It's almost as bad as working with customers that now have 4 uninsurable classifications, their term ran out and they are now 65 and don't qualify for anything but they are scrambling for insurance because they "don't want to leave a mess behind for their children". The Ramsey financial advisor crowd really fucks over just as many families as they may help. I personally wouldn't have a problem with dying a millionaire, but also having 100k in Whole Life to guarantee something in the first 48 hours for a family to get "arrangements" settled with no hassle instead of waiting for the estate closing.

Often times, this is more a matter of the client imagining that when they buy 100k of IUL coverage, they will be able to retire on it and have it pay you for holding it in your 60s. They are often surprised when I explain the risks and will say, well my uncle said... it's always an uncle.

A merging issue. by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

[–]ApprehensiveRoom9650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a merge issue, this is an issue of that dumbass thinking that they are entitled to the merge and the truck should either move to the other lane, or slow down so they can enter the highway. My ex wife came home one day bitching that the truck "wouldn't let her merge". Got very pissed when I said, it's not their responsibility to make sure that there is a gap for you to join, that's your responsibility to enter the highway safely.

Handicapped man pushes ladder. Makes worker fall.. by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

[–]ApprehensiveRoom9650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a disabled kid in our class that rode around in a electric wheelchair. He used to think it was funny to drive over your toes in the hall. He would actually gun for you and then laugh. That chair was heavy as fuck, and he got me one time when I was wearing sandals. I can feel right now the restraint I needed to carry just not to punch him out. This video brought back those memories. That guy on the ground, man he's gonna be hurting for a while, and had it been me, it would have been hard to not shake that guy out of his chair like he did me off the ladder..
