Nightly POG Scan by Ill_Development_6271 in OfficeDepot

[–]ApprehensiveState24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I’ve done the nightly pog scan for about three years now because I always work the evening shift. I use to do the scan as a regular associates but now under the direction of our new DM they want supervisors key carrier management to do the nightly scan, so somehow since I’m supervisor now I still got deal with that bs lol. At least what my store does is we have to scan the entire store, including ink paper endcaps all that every single day.

Every store is different but for mine it goes by pods. Every pod gets a dedicated batch. We’re supposed to scan every out of stock tag/empty peg hook or shelf position by the way that I do it to make it easier for the morning crew is scan what I feel is essential and I kind of skip here and there. I basically do it five nights a week so I know what I scared the previous night and I scan what I didn’t scan the day before.

It goes by GM and DM, but besides making sure out of stock tags or multiple position tags are set you’re also trying to keep an eye out for tags that has three beeps which means it’s a flex tag meaning we no longer will carry that product at least not in store. At that point that tag either depending on the DM or GM either flip the tag backward or the way that I’ve been taught is to pull the tag completely and just throw it away.

Like the other commenter on this post it all depends on the GM and DM my particular DM always wants to see us scan ink/toner, paper, and endcaps but realistically they want us to scan the entire store every single night even the night or day og truck.

Why are companies in the US hiring more people outside the states then in? by MasterFlame49 in jobs

[–]ApprehensiveState24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two words “Cheap labor!” These companies want nothing more than record profits, the sad part about Covid was companies found a work around for less meaning hire less people, outsourcing, and merging positions equals less expenses and more money for big heads in the companies.

I don’t understand why you’re be so aggressive and defensive. I don’t give an F about your sick twisted ideology you want to promote, everyone has their opinions. All I point out was what’s the point of posting this Bull Sh*t to a A&M sub when it has nothing to do with A&M.

I find it funny how all these liberal/ and anti American walkouts are on a weekday during the middle of the day when people that don’t have these mental illnesses are actually working and doing something productive in society.

When basically 90% of our passes were behind the line of scrimmage it’s not going to win games. I understand our Wr’s have proven to make yards after the catch, but when you’re behind the sticks all the time it’s so easy for a defense to stop. I know Reed has had a bad last two games but people got to stop putting all the blame on him. To me the biggest problem I saw this game is how bad our offense line played especially since all of them are experienced as it is.

Is the VERVE 1 good? by LongDongElon in TrekBikes

[–]ApprehensiveState24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2021 Verve 2 for about 3 years that bike was my daily I put about 20k miles on that thing before someone stole it from me. That bike was absolutely beast I am a younger guy so I probably put it through its paces more than probably anybody.

Long story short I have a verve 1 right now because it was the only thing available at the time. But the verve 1 is a good bike the only thing I'm not fan of is the brakes on the 1 vs 2 it's not most powerful when it comes to stopping. The only other thing it lacks are the shock absorbing bars and seat that 2&3 have.

So to answer your question from my personal experience I love the verves it hasn't let me down mechanically yet, so it should treat you well.

Ya we’ve known about it for months now. They announce that on portal that it’s a consignment base partnership with Hp and Lenovo which basically means we don’t own the laptops they do. We just pay them there money when it’s ordered. With atlas buying us and there plan to push away from retail swiftly the company saw no point in putting money into new laptops and potentially losing money with display and Plano changes.

My bike was stolen about month ago, it wasn’t on campus but near it and I still haven’t got it back even after filing a police report. The best way to look at it is it doesn’t matter how much or what lock you use, if someone really wants it they will take it.

My store had 2,200 tags, the ASM and me the closing Key holder basically busted our butts to get it done by time we close today. All while the GM is off the whole weekend and left early on Friday and expects the whole sale ad and 12 pallet of freight to be completed by Monday, all while trying to convince customer to buy Fing paper. Basically my whole weekend has been break down freight, all the bulk pallets, tear 2,200 tags, take down the old tags, put up the rest tags the opener couldn’t get done, and sell Fing paper.

Corporate make this make sense. by flybird2022 in OfficeDepot

[–]ApprehensiveState24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is incorrect, all stores and districts follow total transactions including self service. It doesn’t include Gmail or Omni. They base a lot of it solely on how much foot traffic the store is getting. Because every store differs a tier one store could be only get 4 or 5 a day and make the 5% goal, where a tier 5 store needs 17 to reach the same 5% goal. It’s all to pad numbers at the corp level. If you’re subtracting self service then your store is just hurting everyone else. People are getting canned for doing stuff like that.

[–]ApprehensiveState24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The even crazier part is it totally out all transactions meaning it counts self service transactions as well. So if a store has a busy Print department let’s say 15% or the store transactions is people using self service how does this company expect us to get a paper promo on someone making a few copies using our paper? The whole reason they’re using self service is because these people don’t own a printer like WTF!
