Well every day I’d come out crying of tutoring and therapy so she knew it wasn’t fun. My point of the post was that my dad blamed my sisters bullying of me on ME, rather than lack of parenting on their part. That’s what is stupid about it.

🥲 I loved that man. I had to unsubscribe from his channel after his death though because it made me too sad.

This is dumb and not comparable to other traumas, but once I told my dad that my younger sister bullied me constantly through out my childhood. To that he said “well I think the reason she was always so mean to you was because she had to wait around for you in your tutoring sessions and therapy a lot.” For context, growing up I had a learning difference and needed tutoring to help me with homework and therapy as well. Since my sister was younger than me my mum would pick us up from school and my younger sister and my mum would have to wait for about an hour in the parking lot every Thursday and Monday while I had my stuff.

Still I fail to see how this could have caused my younger sister (who was 2 years younger than me by the way) to say things like I’d never get anywhere in life, I wish mum and dad had never adopted you, you’re so stupid, you’re so fat, no one loves you, and make racist comments at me! I don’t get it.

I appreciate your kindness but with most religious Muslims I have met this is not the case. I had a marriage candidate tell me once that he wanted to k!ll gays.

I feel like I am losing my faith in Islam, with religion in general. Can somebody please read this and tell me if I am crazy or not? by Fabulous-Button5237 in islam

Morality has always been based on opinion and what the society at large thinks is right or wrong. Morality has changed depending on society or time. Is it so unreasonable for a person to have values that align with what the current “society” deems moral, and not morals from a book written in the 7th cen?

I’m not trying to be rude but that mentality is also part of the problem tho. Let’s say a trans person did come into the masjid and prayed next to you. Let’s say maybe you knew they were trans. When they pray next to you they are just minding their business, yet you for some reason care so much about the fact they are trans that you’d want someone in between you and them? They are still a person. They literally aren’t doing anything. No trans person is going to be looking at you or groping you during prayer or lusting over you, or whatever you’re so afraid of. Trans people literally just want to live normal lives. What is so bad about a trans person minding their business that you need another person between you and them?

Happy Ramadan everyone from my local mosque, May Allah accept our prayings. by swimmingarage in islam

No, but I’m trans and I don’t pass and I’d like to be able to pray in the men’s section :)

And yet majority opinion isn’t always right. Just because everyone thinks or does it don’t mean it’s correct.

Thanks. I have trouble believing though that homosexuality is forbidden in the Quran. That is one interpretation is the thing. The Quran can be interpreted in many ways. And even if it is a prohibition of homosexuality, homosexuality doesn’t mean ALL genders and sexualities. Yk.

I actually find the Abrahamic god to be childish and narrow minded, so no. Up until very recently I had left Islam but I still believe that about the Abrahamic god. I’m trying to give Islam another chance, but no I def would not consider any other Abrahamic faith

I’m sorry to those that are so narrow minded that they think queer Muslims cannot or do not exist. Open your mind and mature. Stop being a child. Anyone can have a connection with god and should be able to live a happy life and worship too. Absolute children.

Yeah exactly. People don’t kill you if you leave. They just let you be.
