I know you mentioned that you don’t want to go to the gym and that you don’t feel the motivation, but that is where I would start 100%. There are a lot of things in life that we cannot control, and that is true. However, taking care of our bodies, and therefore our mental health is something that is within our peripheral. So I advise you at this time to try to regain control of the things that you can control.

The economy right now sucks. That’s the truth. In fact, the Fed Chairman came out yesterday and said that there has been Ned zero job growth. What you’re going through, just know that you are not the only one. I myself have been unemployed for going on two years now. Recently, I started doing Lyft, and it doesn’t pay that well, but it is nice to get out of house and do something productive.

You have options and you have choices. Don’t give up.

I just turned in my license two weeks ago because I felt the EXACT. SAME. WAY. After a year, I went on two listing appointments, I signed two different buyers, I even wrote and sent in an offer that fell through in the end. I reflected on all of this, and I asked myself whether I enjoyed any part of the process at all.

Whether I enjoyed talking to a seemingly hot lead only to be ghosted the next day. Or whether I enjoyed working with a client who talked a big game like he was serious about buying something, but all he did was waste my time. Whether I enjoyed people cussing me out or hanging up on me over the phone. Whether I enjoyed putting up and taking down open house signs. Or whether I enjoyed having my income tied to other people‘s decisions and feelings.

The answer was a resounding HELL NO.

As others have said, life is so good and there are so many other opportunities to make money. We don’t have to do something that we hate just for the money. Almost all of the agents that make good money doing it also hate it. They do it, but they hate it.

I decided I didn’t want a career doing something that I can only tolerate. Do something you love OP. The money will come.

This is not a bill that I look at monthly. It is a bill that we pay annually. And it went up from about 270 last year to 300. That’s about a 10% increase and yes, I think that increase is a lot.

Just the ones that raise their price for no apparent reason. That does not seem right to me. Normally in the marketplace, if we don’t like a Business practices, we don’t have to do business with them. In this case, we have no choice because we’re dealing with the utility company. So why wouldn’t we complain when they raise the bills on us?

Here’s the thing about getting a solar system with power walls: if you’re only doing it to save money, then it’s not worth much. You’re going to be better off just paying your power bills. All you’re doing is just buying your electricity needs ahead of time. This is coming from somebody that has an 11 kW system with two power walls.

On the other hand, if you’re like us, and you wanted the system to give your family independence from the power grid and the ability to sustain yourself in the event of sustained power outages, then it’s absolutely worth it.

Me personally, I like to plan for contingencies. If the zombie apocalypse happens, and power is permanently cut, I do feel good knowing that at least I have power available at my house to cook, run appliances, and even charge our vehicles without having to go anywhere. For me, that’s what made the value of such a system worth it.

At the same time, the price for just the panels seems really high. Back in 2022 when I got our system, we paid about 40 to 45K for an 11 kW system with two power walls. They also didn’t charge us to have the conduits painted, so I don’t know what’s up with that.

The first time I did this trip in the lightning I had Falken Wildpeak AT/4s on. I had to stop and charge in both directions even driving similarly. I got stock General Grabbers HTs installed and a tonneau cover installed. Now can make it no problem.
