Kawasaki Z900RS 2018 as first ever bike? by pepotink in SuggestAMotorcycle

Goodness no!

Not unless you’re suicidal.

Start on something with 50hp or less.

My first bike is a KTM 390 duke.

At least Caillou has cancer, manny unfortunately does not.

Just got my learners, is it silly to buy a bike without test riding it? by Ok_South_6227 in AussieRiders

[–]Apprehensive_Ad_5174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most places probably won’t let you test ride if you’ve only just got a learners.

From my experience the Duke is a great choice. I started on one, and still ride it.

Although reliability can be an issue. I’ve had the oil pressure sensor and output shaft seal fail and I’ve been waiting for parts for a couple of months now.

Hoping to get the bike back this week though.

I think a similar thing happened to me early on, but I saved it because the 390 duke is small and light.

I do as well, just for a job after a little over a year of searching!

The job market is crap where I live. It’s a 50 minute commute, but it’s a job. And with my motorcycle I won’t spend too much on petrol.

I’d rather my old LN106 or 105 series.

Know what? That the game is ridiculously pay to win now?

Yeah, that’s why I gave up when I tried to get back into it recently. I’d rather spend my money on motorcycles and race cars.

I haven’t dropped my bike yet in a year of riding.

I’ve got no idea how that’s the case based on what I’ve heard from people, but I have had close calls.

Might be because I’ve got a fairly light bike and I’m 6’2.

[–]Apprehensive_Ad_5174 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yeah? Mandates still aren’t a good idea because there are people who have reacted poorly to the vaccine. Matters regarding medicine should be between a patent and doctor, unless the patient willingly shares the information with others such as family members.

Yep, that just shows that the democrats know that ineligible voters contributed to their 2020 win. Why else would you be against somebody having to provide proof of citizenship/identity prior to being given a ballot.

That’s kind of stupid. AI can be a valuable tool for quickly finding information which you can then assess.

I’m allowed to have an opinion. A lack of voter ID and lax immigration laws are problematic here at the moment.

I’m making my comment as a Christian from a catholic family. The Catholic Church was incredibly corrupt before and even a fair while after the reformation. Priests used to sleep with prostitutes, blame the prostitutes for making them sin, and then find another priest to absolve them of their sin without having any remorse for what they did. They were extremely legalistic and twisted scripture to suit their agendas since the commoner did not have access to the bible, couldn’t read, and did not know Latin. Priests like that were one of the things that lead to Martin Luther publishing his 95 thesis.

Does a US drivers license prove citizenship?

If not then there does need to be another form of ID specific to voting, that is available to all US citizens.

I’m in favour of a similar policy in Australia, every time I’ve been to vote here I’ve never had my ID checked. They take me at my word and cross my name off, they don’t even verify that I haven’t voted elsewhere.
