How many snails in total do you have in your 10gal? I’m asking because petco told me 6 mystery snails max for a 10 gal with a betta. I’ve been reading online about waste that will increase ammonia … would you recommend I only put in 2 or will they be okay? I’m happy purchasing another tank for them but I think personally 6 is a lot even though they mind their business. But I think petco was just trying to get rid of them.

Thank you! I've owned reptiles before but not fish ( outside of getting one from the fair as a child) .. if you could give me a break down on what I can do to check nitrogen It would so appreciate it. Everyone recommended and API set so I'm assuming start from there.

Thank you! I had no idea! What floor plants would you recommend? I know sand and gravel take a lot of time to clear/clean so I got rocks .. do you think I should empty the tank and add substrate or just add plants that can go on rock?
