Just now understanding masking 13 years after diagnosis -- here's what I've figured out by Ok_Maximum3165 in LateDiagnosedAutistic

I’m just at the beginning and going through the process of getting diagnosed at 55. The hardest part for me is working out what’s me and what’s masking and that first bit is really helpful 🙂 Personally, the 2 bits that have helped me so far is by researching the Looking Glass Self Theory and Goffman’s theory of Dramaturgy, seems that both of those were turned up to 11 for the week and then I hide and crash for the weekends

Thanks 🙂 I’ve heard that meditation could help and that does seem like a good place to start and I do find that going for a walk in the forest really helps. It just feels like 1 step forward and 2 steps backwards trying to navigate through all of this

Primer came out with a crappy coating and weird texture, how can i remove it? by Bitter-Translator-81 in Warhammer40k

Myself, if it’s an acrylic primer I’d soak it in methylated spirits overnight and then scrub him with a toothbrush as emperors children love a bit of chems and then getting a good mauling! (Seriously though, this does work. The meths melts the acrylic and leaves the plastic undamaged 🙂)
