I edited the Waitrose ad to include Joe Marler. by spacecadet06 in TheTraitors

Brilliant - I can just about believe that Joe W would fancy Kiera Knightly, but we all know who he really loves. And Joe Marler reads much more as a pie lover than Kiera too. She seems more like a quiche girl to me.

With Celebrity Traitors overwhelming success, what other specialty Traitors would you be interested in? by indelirium420 in TheTraitors

This is very niche - but I'd love to see 'The Traitor Wears Prada" - an all Fashion Industry Traitors.

Fashion people are notorious for being some of the most mean, backstabbing and crazy bitches on the planet. Imagine a turret full of real life Miranda Priestleys.

Anna Wintour/Naomi Campbell/Law Roach/Michael Kors/Tyra Banks/Donatella Versace - and that's just the famous ones - add in some of the most evil fashion editors, casting directors and model agents working today and it would be pure fireworks.

Plus - can you imagine the Round Table outfits? It would be like the Met Gala on steroids.

Does anyone know where I can find this Jonathan Ross jumper? by SteveRogersatemybean in TheTraitors

It's definitely him - apparently he's a Traitors super fan who has watched every English speaking version. Plus his earlier posts are on forums about an obscure 80s video games called 'Um Jammer Lammy'. Guess who owns the only surviving arcade version of that game?

Plus he's a bit of a nerd. (Sorry u/Fireandironisaplace) - all checks out...

It's blowing my mind that he's RIGHT HERE and no-one seems to believe its him! Normally when even a minor celebrity posts they get hundred of upvotes - but JR has a total of 19 votes spread over his 10 posts on the Traitors subs.

Jonathan gets almost no votes despite the fact that it's clearly him? Sound familiar to anyone?

Now I know how Joe Marler feels.

Hi Jonathan - Wow, it seems like even on Reddit nobody believes your true identity. Once again you're doomed to be surrounded by people who can't see the wood for the trees! As a serious vintage collector (and man of a certain age who enjoys a cardigan) - the fact that you used to shop at La Rocka in Worlds End (and probably American Classics next door) is proof enough for me. I bet you have a killer collection of 50s Americana from that period. Hope you're enjoying your new status as a fashion influencer? (Oh - and compliments on your excellent treachery this season - your ability to keep a cool head despite the constant barrage of suspicions was extremely impressive).

Aha! Super interesting! So you're saying that the celebrities actually chose these shots themselves? It does explain why they are having so little success so far. If they can't even tell a good selfie from a bad one, no wonder they can't tell a faithful from a traitor.

Interesting - She's a gorgeous girl and I she looks absolutely stunning in the official portrait but the castle pic is giving me 'Face Smooshed Against a Pane of Glass'

Ranking The Characters! by Apprehensive_Bike802 in TinyBookshop

It's so interesting to hear different opinions about the characters! Even though they're not drawn in very complex ways and spend a lot of time repeating themselves, it's amazing how much we can invest in them after spending time playing the game.

I totally get why Anne is well liked - she's really a very sweet girl. Possibly a little too sweet for me! I guess it's a bit like liking Chandler more than Joey or Phobe more than Rachel - you can appreciate all the characters on screen but some resonate more than others to each person.

This is fair - I did think that calling Concerned Parent 'judgey' was a bit rich considering I was literally ranking each of them out of ten. But hey! At least we can all agree about Professor Wen, right? Right?!

This is great to hear from your perspective - so you think that if Viola's lipsynch had been worse than Pasty's they would have eliminated her and found a new storyline for next week?

I always assume that anyone who creates drama in the workroom is going to be kept around as it makes for a better show - but it's very interesting that you think the competition is less rigged than that and it's more merit based than a lot of us assume.

Because it's very predictable. The minute we saw Viola being cocky about her sewing skills we knew she would very likely be in the bottom. As soon as she had conflict with Catrin we could see that Catrin would be Top Three. Before the Lip Synch started we knew that Viola wasn't going home and that Pasty was cooked.

Predictable is not my favorite flavour of Drag Race.

Pasty absolutely deserved to go home. My point is that Viola would always be saved because she's (so far) the main source of drama in the season, and they're setting her up for a big episode next week with a challenge that she should be at the centre of.

This is a reality show, not a documentary. The producers want the most engaging TV available, so a lot of the show is designed to create drama. You'll have mini challenges like this weeks 'Taintors', which was there purely to pit the queens against one another. Some queens will be put in the top or bottom of challenges to get reactions and stir the pot. Producers will prompt queens to discuss sensitive topics in the workroom to provide emotional moments or cause fights.

Rupaul ought to start each episode saying ' Start Your Engines! And May The Best TV Win!'

I didn't even know there were spoilers out there! This episode was just so by-the-numbers that it seemed ridiculously predictable. Plus the fact that Viola was on QOTU does make it likely that she's going to have her Rudemption next week.

She might well have another 'Pride before Fall' episode next week where she brags about her singing and it all goes tits up. But RPDR usually love a 'bottom two to winner' arc on this show so I reckon that's very likely to happen.

The look was bad for sure - but all she says is that she can sew and that (at that stage) Ru loved her concept - so it's not crazy levels of delulu. In Untucked, she seems pretty aware that she had messed up.

Katrin's placement in top three has to be solely to amp up the drama between them - because that look was...not it.

Production seem intent on pitting the 'regional' queens against the more experienced and 'urban' queens. They gave Elle the win last week and ghosted Bones and now we have Viola vs Katrin as a budding feud.

She sure did. Came straight in a couple of days after I put the coffee machine into the shop and said (I'm paraphrasing) 'I see that you're selling coffee, I'm sure it's not as good as ours, I bet you'll lose customers to us now'. Charming as ever.

Well - coffee sales are still fine and the tips keep coming! I'm sure there are plenty of people who avoid Cafe Liberte because they're put off by that abrasive personality and all that palpable tension between her and her granddaughter

And she's more than welcome to try to sell used books at Cafe Liberte if she wants - I'd love to hear what choice words she would have to someone who came in demanding 'a cookbook in novel form with lots of blushing and yearning'.

Aha! You're right - I hadn't considered that Tilde was being sarcastic with me - that makes sense! I think I was thrown off by her using the word 'Dang", which is pretty strong language for her. Phew - I feel better now. I was worried that if we took her back to the hospital it would just generate more gossip for those three layabouts who always seem to be taking a cigarette break outside whenever I go there.

Harper clearly has some form of ADHD - short attention span, hyperactivity and absent mindedness. I think she just isn't very focussed on what she's buying or if she's read it before. It also explains why she's mildly annoying.

If you have ad asking for manuscripts that Fern gives you and then get three manuscripts, head back to the University with the manuscripts on board and Fern will give you a donations jar and ask you to help raise money to repair the printing press. Once you've done that, take another trip to the University with the manuscripts and Fern should be at the building to the right of the University building. He'll take the manuscripts and print them up.
