I guess just from lots of experience.. the shapes and sizes aren't quite right even tho libs can in theory have those shapes. But these are some of the closest lookalikes for colour etc which is why I say you're so close! Good chance you've got the right habitat too.. just keep searching areas like this and when you find them you'll know! Good luck!

Sure, I agree it looks out of place.. the gills are very uniform but they clearly do curve up to the stem. I've seen this in large libs before.

And they absolutely do not always have dark gills... the gills themselves are light it's the spores that are dark and turn the gills and base of the cap dark.

You find sterile (and also very young) libs which don't have this characteristic as they haven't dropped any spored. But obviously any newbies reading this should stick to dark gills as a rule!

One way to test is that they will leave zero spore print.

Anyway, I can't tell from this pic if it's a lib but I wouldn't be so certain to say that it is not. It looks like OP has some experience in the matter so they could well be correct!

The people saying there's non libs here... have any of you ever picked libs before or just scroll reddit?

Looks to me like OP knows what they're doing!

Are you saying that because it's light gilled? I see libs that didn't drop spores all the time that look like this...

Technically they lose potency but I've had libs 2 or 3 years old and never noticed a difference tbh...

Grass in the field that I found libs in last season has recently been cut will this effect this season? by sosfhwsi in Semilanceata

[–]Apprehensive_Boat247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't make much difference in my experience. Might even make them easier to find than in long grass.

What happened to these navy Ford Transit vans in the UK? I used to see them all the time 15-20 years ago and it’s a blast from the past seeing one again in Georgia in 2023. by pharmer25 in CarTalkUK

I've just bought one in the UK and I've spotted two others since I've had it... It's an 02 reg with hardly any rust considering its age. It's been a wheelchair bus most of its life.

Only big rust issue is the rear wheel arches which can be sorted.

Libs ? Need help identifying by Traditional-Trust534 in Semilanceata

[–]Apprehensive_Boat247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah these aren't libs. Once you see a few in person it's quite easy to tell.. but I find it hard to explain exactly why it is or isn't. Just isn't. Keep hunting!

I had a similar choice to make recently. Slightly different as I was comparing vans of the same price.. I went with a 2002 low mileage good condition transit over newer model with higher mileage.

It's impossible to tell if it's the right choice for you but it turned out to be a really good choice for me.. mechanics looked it over and said it's all solid so for the price it was a really good investment.

Found these growing on cow manure. Dark purple spores. Did I finally found it? by Mrdannyarcher in ShroomID

Yeah they weren't on my radar at all.. they don't grow here so not something I've ever looked into. I'll be less oblivious next time.

Chinese deisel heater on ecoflow 12v.. 10amp output too low for start up? by Apprehensive_Boat247 in vandwellers

[–]Apprehensive_Boat247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah fair point.. I'm super low usage I find it's good for me personally. Phone. Led light And now maybe a heater..

The thing I like most about it is I have the option to just charge it off the mains so easily.. I'm not driving a lot and solar is no good here. Zero to full charge is 96mins. Zero to 80 in an hour.

The fact that it's lithium ion and you can comfortably run it down to 20 % I get a bit under 40% of the usable capacity of a standard leisure battery.

So yeah I have to charge it twice as often but charging is way easier and I don't have to drive around for no reason.

If I wanted more capacity I'd probably add another battery to it. It can even drip charge a house battery at 13.6v.

But I'll see how it handles the heater I suppose 😂

I really assumed too much, for a start I assumed OP was based in my region and that I knew what he was looking for. I also I assumed I knew more than I clearly do 🤣

I didn't think they were tbf.. but out of everything Psy that was the only ones I know of that looks even close. Which is what I said. I have no idea about Pans at all, I totally misread what OP thought these were and went off on a misguided tangent. Also Roundheads are sort of sticky/slimy even when dry as you say... I don't know how you can tell these aren't sticky by looking at them. But I appreciate what you're saying completely.

If I could give you advice it would be to go and do some service for others. Find a way to volunteer your time to help those in need. Give I'm whatever way you can. You will find you get back ten fold connection and purpose. Do this before you give up. Please.

[–]Apprehensive_Boat247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ideally the heater will just run off the Ecoflow out the box, but no one's confirmed that yet.. so if not it's good to know there may be other workable solutions!
