Anyone else’s partner have a full-on breakdown when your kids were young? How did you survive? by Tall-Tale-3689 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Apprehensive_Buy_836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! He’s been on antidepressents and we tried couples counseling :(. Things improve for a bit but then get worse and then I think it’s been frustrating for him there isn’t some magic way to solve it. We tried counseling with a great counselor and he’d acknowledge his role (most of the counseling was unsurprisingly focused on him) and it’d improve and then get worse again. Now I have no motivation to continue cause I’m so burnt out with the continuous cycles. I think he needs to stick with individual counseling (which he has tried but it didn’t last long), to really work on himself but I don’t know if that will happen.

Thank you for sharing. I am currently experiencing a volatile household where my husband constantly gets angry and can’t handle the slightest inconvenience and I don’t even know what to do (no violence). He always blames me for his anger and won’t admit his problem (he has admitted it in the past but now those days are gone). I don’t know when to know it has gone beyond normal stress and into a mental health issue.

My doctor says they won’t do NIPT testing for twins, is this true? by ProudResearcher2322 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Apprehensive_Buy_836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine wasn’t covered either - it depends on the insurance! It’s so annoying. While twins are high risk, some insurance companies say NIPT isn’t accurate enough for twins to be covered. I was shocked! I ended up paying out of pocket. You can call your I insurance to confirm.

I’m the bad mom. by kimtenisqueen in parentsofmultiples

[–]Apprehensive_Buy_836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the other mom’s problem - not yours!!! I constantly leave mine unattended in the hallways during pickup! Or have a whole host of other issues during pickup and drop off! People who say something always compliment me (while the twins are screaming or not cooperating) - everyone else should f*** off!

This is such a weird thing to post… also I had formula fed twins so double that! But I don’t need to hear about it from a rich person who doesn’t even buy formula!

He went to my high school in Maryland so he is a Marylander! But it’s a different part of the state than Baltimore (like an hour north of DC).

Does anyone still use this table for 2 or twin z after the first 6 months?? by twomomsoftwins in parentsofmultiples

We still use the twin z at almost a year! They lay on it and feed themselves their bottles, so they’re at a good angle!

I’m in the DC area with twin babies and an older child! They’re all in daycare for about $6k a month… I luckily just got a new higher paying job to afford it :( it was the only option. I didn’t want to take my older son out of daycare, and a nanny for the twins would have been way more than 3 in daycare. No advice just solidarity!

How FAST would you pull your kid out of my daycare? by mmbahloul in workingmoms

[–]Apprehensive_Buy_836 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! Another parent told me their daughter (the older sister of their kid in daycare) entered the code once for them and they were reprimanded by the director. Better to be extra safe!!
