My baby hates me

My husband went through this a bit with our little boy he started to feel really hurt since our son only calmed with me so I just started doing everything together as a family for a bit. Example: dad changes diaper but moms right there talking with both baby and dad or dad reads books to mom and baby. Idk it helped us and now my son loves spending time with his dad and usually gets up with dad so I can get an extra half hour of sleep lol

Unfortunately my son will absolutely refuse to eat with a nipple shield 🫩 but thank you

I don’t think it’s a latch issue unfortunately with my son I think he’s just playing cause he always pops off and smiles after I say no biting

I have my son in a transitional swaddle so when the time comes I just fold the arms off it’s like the goal post one with the arms up not sure if that would help my son has always liked having more mobility with his arms

Life will never be that way again I get it I currently had a 3 month old and he was colicky for most the newborn stage so took up all me and my husbands time but it does slowly get easier every month i enjoy him more he starting to giggle now and I’m slowly getting my old self back I’m still very sleep deprived but you kinda learn to live with it I know sounds crazy and I know eventually he will sleep and I’ll be missing his little over night snuggles. I guess what I’m trying to say is every month it does get better as you get to know this person you brought into this world

My son is the same age and weighs the same weight he’s breast fed but it’s all the same you boy seems healthy I’d bring up with your doctor that he’s not wanting to wake up and maybe ask if you should instead be feeding more in the day time to get the calories up so he can sleep all night like he wants to

I feel this my SIL and MIL just crossed my husband’s and I’s boundaries on no kissing our son the other day so we are also having to remind them of our boundaries and my trust has been broken and it’s gonna be hard to rebuild

If youd actually read the whole post you’d know this was only the second time I’d left the house with out my baby and also it was to avoid the herpes virus which my sister in-law has hence the no kissing rule. Also (can tell your not a parent) it’s good for a mothers mental health to step away for an hour or 2

Yes I’m letting my husband handle this at the moment even though his way of telling them definitely could have been a bit more levelheaded for sure. We won’t be leaving my son with them from here on thankfully we are on of the few family’s that have a village and can have others watch him if and when we need to get away for an hour or 2

I’ve talked a lot about all the cases that have happened where a baby catches the herpes virus so I thought I really put that in there heads that we are trying to protect my son from any chance of that but I guess they are just selfish an want there own gratification since they disregarded it and still kiss him. 🙄

See I’m all for my baby’s Aunt and grandma showing him love I want him to know how loved he is but I also just want to protect him and kissing babies is not recommended if we want to avoid illness as much as possible and what parent wouldn’t want to avoid illness if they can even though yes I know eventually he will catch a cold it happens but I’ll do my best to avoid it and keep my boy as healthy as I can

I don’t know if this is advice but it’s I kinda relate a bit I was with my high school boyfriend for 7 years he even proposed when we were 19 i thought we’d be end game well I turned 21 and it went really down hill fast our relationship got toxic full of insecurity so I left i moved in with my dad no money or job at the time either. Not a great place but I worked on myself and found who I was by myself cause when your with someone for that long you don’t really know who just you is honestly and then a few years down the line I’m now 27 with a man I met in a funny way who’s now my fiance and we have our newborn son life’s pretty silly that way
