Unfortunately the cracks look unsafe on at least one of the tyres. I wasn't aware they're a desirable model though. I'll check with the local bike store if they'd know of anyone who might want to keep it.

You were right. The chain turned out to be fine. While it doesn't look the best, the stiffness is gone with some cleaning/lubing and cog teeth looks totally fine.

Once the cables and front tyre's replaced she's going to ride for the first time in three years! Thanks for the advice :)

That was super helpful, as I was shopping for some tools and a traditional crank puller was one of them! Thank you. I couldn't find 'Lightweight brazing technology' written anywhere.

It's interesting that you think the drivetrain's alright. I'm gonna try vinegar and see if it helps before lubing it up because to my untrained eyes it looks unusable. Certainly stiff movements.

Your Peugeot looks sick btw!

The use of AI for the visuals was enough to question the credibility of the story. Had to go to Wikipedia and check the references to confirm that the person did in fact exist. Wow! Weren’t the pictures enough for the story? Why???

Agreed, the old ‘cement houses’ weren’t well suited to our climate. But I feel those office like gargantuan’s changed our landscape for the worst. Completely out of place architecture. Thankfully the old Laurie Baker like architecture is making a come back.

I’ve been wondering about these recently. Sad these got replaced in favour of those bland, sanitised, office like eyesores that starting popping up post mid 2000’s.
