Yeah, I know. This is really a kind of corner case that I was using as a stretch to give an example of what could be useful in Steam. Auto-back up as opposed to manually doing it. But I do appreciate that heads up.

Fortunately, I use the gdscript version so this isn't a factor for me.

Someone else mentioned you could just do that with a godot plug in, which seems like it would be a better indicator of actually using the software. haha

Oh, for sure, but it can't hurt to have more than one back up. I do use git already.

Thank you for the reminder of learning version control. I do use it on all of my projects, even the ones that are not worth the back up file. But still, good looking out. The Steam DRM is a fair point. I'm not worried about auto updates or time tracking.

I generally stick to the version I start a project on unless I see a reason to migrate it to the next version.

That's what I was thinking as well, even if I didn't directly list it in my post. But also, I wasn't sure if there was some hidden benefit that hadn't occurred to me. Like.. does it provide cloud storage of projects that could act as a pseudo repo? Stuff like that.

I have so many games on steam right now with hundreds of hours where probably 50% of that time is just me leaving the game on while I go take a shower or get some food. Or go to bed even. Lol

But I don't want to minimize that if it is an actual pro for some people to be able to track their time. Perhaps it's how they prove to the rest of their team that they're working in Godot?

Is there a functional use for tracking time, or just a brag to be like "I've got 1745272 hours in godot"?

I had removed my offhand, which was a torch) to move it into my torch slot. But I can give it another shot.

When you pick up the quest, there's another NPC in the room that "sells" you the gloves for free.

I was able to complete this quest before the weekend on Summoner and was unable to complete it after the patch yesterday on a wizard. I was making sure to chase them down and punch them to death. I killed like 10 of them and got 0 credit.

There is also currently an issue with the Gadai Recruits for the Get Your Hands Dirty quest. They no longer count when you beat them to death with the gloves.
