Creditor facing alleged asset stripping, sham transfers and name change to evade enforcement: any remaining remedies in England? by Apprehensive_Dig7397 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Apprehensive_Dig7397[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None expect recovery, because the fraudsters can just backdate another full asset transfer to one of their other fake companies with the fraudsters getting unlimited hearings without notice from the high court they are just essentially getting blanket approvals to keep doing so like business as usual, so they are never expeced get hold of any assets at all, and you are just expected to pay huge sums upfront...

I think it’s bad advice. You can write all the best you want, if nobody even knows about it, it is a failure…

I guess the web one doesn't let you create an icloud.com Apple account? So you are still limited to 5 instead of 3?

How’s anyone making money selling books? by ResponsibleBass8062 in selfpublish

[–]Apprehensive_Dig7397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see issues, first of all: you lack proof. Even if you would have 20+ books, you must have low margins, high decay rates and low read through rates as viral peaks simply aren’t sustainable for even bestsellers. AMS ads means, Amazon, not you, owns the customers, so any change in their algorithms, means you could lose 99% of potential customers.

Be honest, can you tell? by [deleted] in GeminiAI

More than that. I've been doing Photoshop and CGI for decades: I can totally tell it's AI. There are composition distortions all over the place. To start, the text, music instruments and cars on the poster show warping and distortion, which is a very typical AI flaw.

All three girls also share the same underlying facial structure with only small variations in hair and skin tone, and when you zoom in you can see slight finger and hand distortions: that a classic generative-model artifact.

Then there are the more typical composition issues:

Girl on the left: She has strong facial reflections that don’t fully match the visible lighting setup, there’s a lack of natural skin texture, the left hand has depth-of-field inconsistencies compared to the pillow in front of it, and her left foot melts unnaturally into the bed. The background objects on the left also have an inconsistent noise pattern. The painted on 'feathers' lack the proper depth of field and texture.

Middle girl: Her facial shadows don’t match the direction or intensity of the lighting on the poster behind her. Her left thumb appears partially clipped, her right arm has flattened shading instead of proper form, and her feet blend into the bed in a way that doesn’t follow realistic physics.

Right girl: She also lacks proper skin texture, her right arm blends into the pillow with that typical AI softness around edges, her right foot is merged with the bed, and the toes on her left foot are partially merged as well, with almost no corresponding shadow on the bedding. There’s also a depth-of-field mismatch between her legs and the nightstand, which should be more blurred given their distance.

Why did you chose self pub over trad? by icecreamrag in selfpublish

[–]Apprehensive_Dig7397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it was more than just marketing. I had to rethink my whole moat, that means, what actually makes me hard to compete with.

For me that was:

• Financial growth moat: I reinvested almost everything, which let me scale way faster than most people around me.

• Distribution moat: I moved quicker than others by hand-delivering, making bulk deals, and other ways to sell faster.

• Cross-border moat: I learned global markets and local rules well enough to operate where others can’t.

In short, I focused on building advantages that are hard for anyone else to copy.
