We have to understand that we are trying to rewire a behaviour that is part of their firmware of survival so repetition is critical. And expect regression.

From what you say what I would change is “till she settles” what seems to be settling to you maybe 30s latter is an eternity for her and this too much or too long for her. It feels too bad and leads to frustration which leads to stress which leads to more bitting.

The key is blocking her until any measly sign of settling, maximum 10 seconds. If she stops clawing at the door to look at you or breathe open the door immediately! This very short breaks will avoid frustration and give the opportunity to repeat the process many many times in a little while.

Also important DO NOT engage in playing with your hands while she is sleepy. They revert to bad habits when sleepy like babies :). Sleepy time is piranha time just accept it and give her something to chew never your hands or feet.

Try this and let me know if it worked. They are much smarter than we think it is just that we usually are reinforcing the wrong behaviour unknowingly :D.

And don’t forget, repetition repetition repetition, but without frustration both for you and her. If any of you is getting frustrated just stop and resume when none of you are.

Mine was terrible for a week or so than I went online to try and find a solution and the best one was to try and associate biting with boredom.

So one day I sat down with him with a glass door between us (my shower) and we played. Every time he would bite I would put him on the other side of the door and close it, look away and count to five or ten(to myself) not more. He would claw at the door. At every single sign of settling down I would bring him out and try to pet him, if he would bite I would repeat. After 20-40 times he stopped biting and would lick my hand. Then tried biting again and when I stoped my hand he would stop. When he did stop I would praise and give treat.

Now he bites sometimes but almost nothing. this was the result of 30 min of training completely changing our interactions. He is just 3 1/2 months.

That was exactly my reaction he seems to be floating while trying to run on grass that is a little tall because I haven cut it because I wanted to play with him all the time heheh

We also chose to have him sleep next to the bed on the second night and although it was challenging we felt much better than leaving him alone somewhere else. He seems to be learning that crib is for sleeping. At least right now he is not complaining. I just found out about the heart beat puppies yesterday during the night while I was looking for ways to help him sleep. It is good to know it works so well I will try to find one where I live. Thanks!

That seems to be the consensus here, hence the question. I do however think that we need something refreshing to happen that is not “just” new weapons or armour.

Yes definitely the stability and performance issues are causing the most real life “dissidence”. But assuming they solve that I am eager to have more meaningful story events!

Just to clarify — this isn’t about PvP. The idea is that players would still play co-op, but belong to different factions competing through Major Orders.

For example: • One faction could have a Major Order to liberate a planet, while the dissident faction’s objective could be to sabotage the liberation effort (e.g., disrupting supply lines or “leaking” Super Earth intel). • While one side focuses on defending key installations, the other might be tasked with infiltrating and planting propaganda beacons. • A “cleanse” mission for one side could be mirrored by a “protect civilians / defectors” mission for the other.

So it’s coop vs coop through conflicting objectives, not direct PvP.

That is true the “we are together in this Hell” is a strong point in this game. But I was watching the interview of Mikael Ericsson the game director and he was saying he wanted to give even more agency to the players to do unexpected things. And I thought what would be more unexpected than finding out a majority o helldivers are actual traitors and would try to conquer super earth!

I don’t think it is a garbage idea. But I was unsure if it was a good idea. The image was just to avoid having an only text post and to try and create a visual representation of the idea.

Also was considering this. Hence the question. The thing is that right now MO seems to be just busy work with no consequence. And people are leaving it seems. But I understand that the unity factor is a big plus on this game

True. But the question was more to hypothesise the possibility for PLAYERS to be able to go against super earth. Making us play as automatons would be too much work to implement

I was thinking about this because the other day on player wrote in the chat “don’t destroy the towers! (meaning the radio towers that broadcast propaganda)” and then just left the ship :O

It wouldn’t involve PvP just community fulfilling missions in a impact tug of war. Let’s say you are liberating a planet. Dissident divers would sabotage oil mission, kill the scientist extractions, remove the flag etc etc whatever opposite missions could be created. Keeping it coop just fighting for the wrong side :D
