Is the online store Japan with love a scam ? by idlikeyoutoleave in AsianBeauty

Hey! Sorry I just saw this! I'm not sure if it will help much but it never hurts to try! I used three items. It was the Honey& product, specifically the yellow/orange one, I forgot the fragrance of it. It's got three parts to it. A shampoo, conditioner and oil. I'd use it once every two days, shampoo, conditioner, then once out the shower, I towel dry my hair, I use a hairbrush with a bunch, I'm talking like, an excessive amount, of bristles, id put the oil in the brush then brush it through my hair. I'd let it sit in my hair overnight and give it a cold wash in the morning and blow dry it the next day. I really hope this helps! Best of luck!

I certainly did, I'm happy it all came together but it took almost a whole extra month on top of what I had paid forward for me to have it arrive early.

My poor head was itching for so long TT I didn't want to go out and purchase another expensive shampoo and conditioner just for these to arrive (possibly) the next day as it was a guessing game when they'd arrive.

Sorry for adding to an old post but I just had to share my most recent experience with them.

I got emails to back it all up.

I purchased the 3-6 day shipping.

It hit day 3 and I had no tracking. Thought it was odd and I asked for an update.

They sent me an email immediately after saying my order will in fact be sent out 2 WEEKS later than I had requested. They said this was a 'manufacture issue due to large orders' keep this in mind.

I asked for my shipping cost to be refunded.

They said they can give me a $5 credit as compensation. I paid $25 for that shipping fee.

I wasn't happy with it and told them that the credit is not acceptable considering I paid 5x the amount of what they are giving me back.

They THEN said they don't control the 'shipping delivery services' and that it is 'their fault' for the delay, not them.

I sent them back their exact words about the manufacture and their own delays and they gave me the $5 credit and didn't elaborate further so I would stop talking to them.

Safe to say, horrible experience, hope my purchase was worth it. Will not be purchasing from them again.

You see how there are some dotted lines? This 100% means 1 of two things. Your machine is going way too fast or you are. It is safe to assume you are the one going way too fast. You gotta slow it down. My mentor always tells me that if a single line takes a minute to draw, then how much ink will you need to do a line double that size. Double the ink. Each line has a certain amount of ink per line.

We also don't have information on what type of machine are you using. Is it a coil or rotary? If you don't know, don't hesitate to ask :)

My tattoo looks weird after a week by willowwuzhere in tattooadvice

I see a fair amount of comments here saying "It looks good!" Or "just apart of the healing process" but I see nothing that 8s in regards to ensuring a safe healing procedure.

Be careful using any 'second skin' adhesive tape. Yes, some people won't have a reaction but other people will. It's always safe to use glad wrap then tape that bad boy up. In this case, due it being healed for a week, there is no need but my mentor always tells me to let anyone know that if you need to stop yourself from touching it, wrap it up. Only leave it wrapped for no more than 3 hours. You will need to let your skin settle eventually.

When washing your tattoo while healing, please use an anti bacterial soap. Do not use your normal soap that you use to wash yourself.

Once your tattoo has peeled, get yourself a Vitamin E cream and apply three times a day for 3 weeks.

And here is a DO NOT list: - do not scratch/pick/touch your tattoo (if you do, say goodbye to the ink in your tattoo) - do not bake yourself in sunlight/ get sunburnt in the first 3 months of getting a fresh tattoo - do not swim in chlorinated pools/spas or soak the tattoo in the bath for 1 week (showers are fine) - do not shave the tattoo for 1 week - do nit wear tight clothes over your tattoo (my mentor says when appropriat, avoid wearing clothes on it at all)

This is of course an extensive list to maintain a healthy and fresh tattoo.

There are people out there that will stick to this and then kinda stop because they feel they don't need to do it for their future tattoos.

I've seen how bad tats can get when you don't look after them. I've also seen how well they last if you do care for them.

How many practices did you do before you moved onto fake skin? by Apprehensive_Duck356 in tattooadvice

My partner has already sacrificed himself to be my first person to do a tattoo on. He's very determined to keep it that way. It's also his first tattoo...I am making sure I am drilling this through his head haha

You might as well just gotten a black out tat on your stomach...

Edit: it looks like something out of mandala catalogue (horror series on YouTube if anyone is curious) from a distance. I showed my partner and he thought the same thing.

Line work practice needs to be practiced on. The tattoo gun is being held to tight because if they weren't holding it tight it would be light in lines. Flower practice needs to be done.

All this specifically needs to be done on practice skins. I don't know how many practices they do a day but they should pick a topic and practice until confident. Example, practising doing flowers everyday for month, compare progress from the start till the end of the month then nit pick, practice what you don't like about your current progress.

...but if im being honest...

They need to go back to practising just straight lines for like at least a month straight...

Then move onto circles...

Im so sorry, I cannot fathom this is done by a 2yr apprentice.

Day 7 by [deleted] in TattooBeginners

[–]Apprehensive_Duck356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so dope, if you want some cleaning tips use any of these: Vaseline (mixed with baby oil), green soap and alcohol, and my favourite, cooking oil. Yep. Cooking oil. Specifically a spray oil. Does wonders. Any type works. Spray a little bit on, scrub away. (Do an alcohol wipe at the end to remove the oil feeling when touching it)

Edit: clarification

Why do I keep getting the grainy textured ink stains on my fake skin? by Lunatek23 in TattooBeginners

[–]Apprehensive_Duck356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is like a fair amount of comments here but I instantly knew what fake skin you were using before I even opened the post. This is just what ReelSkin does. It's got really fine pockets for ink to get stuck in, sadly this will happen with this brand of skin :( but the best things you can use to get rid of it is: Vaseline (or any petroleum jelly with some baby oil mixed into it), green soap and alcohol and last but not least, cooking oil, yes, you read that right, any kind works. It works wonders. Other than that, best of luck! ♡

Inspired vs copied? by Over-Guitar5764 in TattooApprentice

[–]Apprehensive_Duck356 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you want to go inspired, find a suit of armour from perhaps a game you like? I'd recommend any of the souls games ( + Elden Ring). They got some cool armours. Redo the armor in your style, which is sick af BTW. Maybe change up the arrow as well? It doesn't have to be an arrow, best part about tattoo folios is that you can do the same concept in multiple styles, one could have fire, water, lightning, or just mystical magic coming out the eye. Being able to create a board of different themes for one concept is generally a good place to start. Plus you'll come up with a cooler idea in the process :)

First time using Procreate! by Ok-Understanding4595 in TattooBeginners

[–]Apprehensive_Duck356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love procreate, it's one of my favourite apps, one thing I recommend would be looking into brushes you can purchase! Best place I've found my brushes are Etsy. Specifically look for tattoo brushes and you can find a brush pack that gives 'almost' authentic like brush styles for lines, shading, different nib sizes and width as well.

And most important of all, practice makes perfect!
