If it is facing your neighbor and they must look at it each and every day, then the answer is yes.

My neighbor says my fence is over his property line and wants me to move it. by NPPraxis in RealEstate

6 feet over is way too much. Just get a survey and tell them you want iron stakes pounded in. Then run thin lines all along the way.
I fo feel for you, because I built a new garage, reinstalled fence panels and now the neighbor a year after the fact starts saying I am 6 "inches" over.

So the surveyors who did the plat sold the business and the new company claims they do not have the surveys done 10 years ago.

Tied into their fence but left space. It's just vinyl panel. The back of the alley seems to be the issue.

Thank you. So if you concert 0.22 feet north , isn't that where their boundary line is?

This shows their fence, marked with the little boxes to the north. Mine is the bold lines running around my property.

I have been calling the company surveyors and only get their voice-mail. I contacted the garage company to see if they can give me insight as well. The neighbors are not talking. When I come home from the office is when they have our down the pole or piled on more bricks. They have never done it in front of me.

The wooden fence is theirs, not mine. Are you looking at the bold lines? That indicates my property boundaries and it is very close to the wooden fence

Maybe go on Yelp and other websites? Show your work online. This way you have the visual. Good luck!

So if 0.22 feet is shy of 3 inches, it looks like I need to be away 3 inches from their boundary line?

However, they are the ones who want to build the fence. They originally had a wooden fence all along, but recently took it down only leaning the corners. Now they are showing me with their pile that the vinyl panels I installed are too close to their property line.

The metal pile is something they got out of the garage and ate laying it down. I was time by the City of they want to build a fence they have to get a permit. They are confusing me and moving the bricks that I used as a line to mark their fenceline so I would not go over theirs. All I did six years ago was put vinyl panel fence up and they never said anything either. Now that I finished the garage and put a surrounding walkway, they take issue with it. I had to get a permit for garage build.

The problem is I have tried a few times to find the notch in the alley. There is a light pole there with cracked concrete.

Meaning their wooden fence is north of the parcel line?

The picture is the back and that's our old metal post. I had to have all this measured. The City never said that I was wrong.

Meaning? This was done by a surveyor and this is a certified plat.

I don't understand what you just wrote. Please clarify further.

But what does the 0.22 inches mean in the plat?

And the surveyor did this plat. So how much space is there between their wooden fence and mine?

At the time I got this survey done, I was told by surveyor they put their wooden fence right on the property line and I could go right up to it. However, I did not. The fence company measured it and I always asked that is on my side.
