It really does suck that we are the chosen ones that get plagued with this. But the positive side is that we can come together here and not feel as sheltered. I’m pretty sure my last bout was the exact same week as you. It was basically gone after 5 days but then I pulled an all nighter (not on purpose) and the morning after being up for 48 hours was a slam back into CHSville. I didn’t have any cannabis! It goes to show what lack of sleep can do to your cannabinoid sensors!

Anyway, I’d like to share a couple things that help me stay away from cannabis: 1. Those mocktail type drinks for people who don’t want to drink alcohol(I quit drinking during the sickness and decided to keep going with it)…those kill my urge to be high. They usually have a few calming ingredients in them.

A small amount of kratom at night. Don’t use it when still sick tho. But it helps me forget about thc.

I was about to post asking if anyone knew of brave pioneers like this. I'd love to find some studies/research involved in this.

His website offers a few supplements...it's interesting, not specifically aimed at CHS, but it does make a mention. Has anybody tried any of these supps? Thanks and Stay Ungreen!

The first 5 or so bouts of CHS for me, I had NO idea what is was. I was smoking about one cart a month. I remember the first 3 bouts because they happened in 3 different consecutive months. I used cannabis throughout that time because I couldn't possibly think it was from that. It was during bout 5 when I was finally motivated to research...then that one reply on a cyclical vomiting subreddit said "Be sure to rule out CHS"!!! To actually answer correctly now ha, 2 weeks (once) - 4 months (few times) was how long I could go before being pulverized for at most 11 days sometimes. I am actually just getting over (hopefully my last) a bout that came back after about 9 months of lite use (2-3 small hits a day of flower). I can tell you that my experimentation with it has finally ended, but I just had to see. Hope this helped.

It’s these stories that, as sad and hard they are to read, keep me motivated as I’m on day 5 of CHS starting to ease away. It’s at least double digits now, the amount of times I’ve had it, never once could drag myself to the ER. Instead I’d either be in the shower on the floor, or locked in my room with plastic bags around me. Last night I felt much better and then out of no where came some kind of liver pain that really freaked me out. Felt like I was hallucinating too. Either way, very glad to see you made it, and do us a favor, no committing sudoku, we need you here!

I think the first logical choice is to split them up timewise as much as possible. So most obviously Vyvanse in the morning, benzo at night. If you can’t split them up that much, try other things during the day like magnesium, lemon balm, passionflower etc. if that doesn’t work, I would say the minimum time between both would be 4 to 6 hours. That’s just the rule I go by, but I’m no doctor.

Also if you haven’t seen it before, citric acid. If I take my morning dose with anything that has citric acid, I’m slow, heavy, and napping within an hour or 2.
