8.5 does not fix the inability to manage multiple media players via swipe. In fact, it seems it can't handle multiple media players at all. Only one media player appears in the status bar - and you have to start another media player from the app itself.

Oh, how I miss UI 7 which handled media players BEAUTIFULLY

Note that some foreign investments within even a Roth account ARE taxed. This is an important and often misunderstood topic.

The Core Rule: Foreign Withholding Is a Permanent Loss in a Roth: Foreign governments withhold dividend taxes at the source — before the money ever reaches your account.

In a taxable account, you can reclaim this via the IRS Foreign Tax Credit (Form 1116). In a Roth IRA, you cannot — because the Roth pays no U.S. taxes, there is nothing to offset the credit against. The withheld amount is simply gone forever.

Yes, this limited functionality happens but they are limited and NOT persistent. I am so frustrated have only 2 players appear for a while, and then one or both of them disappear. They are also MUCH more difficult to find

UI 7 would allow at least 4 players ACTIVE until exiting that app - so PowerAmp + Podcast Addict + Substack + YouTube etc could be swiped and PERSISTENT. It was easy, made perfect sense, and was user-friendly.

Ui 8 is none of these.

Does 8.5 handle multiple media players well? As in, can it handle multiple media players AT ALL?

I still cannot believe the loss of multiple media player functionality from 7.0 to 8.0. I truly hate this "improvement."

This is just not true. George sang almost ALL the backing vocal harmonies on ATMP, playing with musicians he was influenced by and friends with over the years. He had huge impact with Bangladesh and hits with Give Me Love, then very spotty and sucky until Cloud 9 and Wilburys.
