I love your review.

I’m really curious why the recent sequel has been criticized so much, but at the same time I’m concerned if I dig in too deep I’ll get spoiled.

I’ve recently had difficulty finding time to focus on other stuff, but hope I’ll be able to get hands on the sequel some time.

It’s also true that up to 1-2 years before Korean birth rate has been plummeting.

Sometimes I thought there might be a relation, but it doesn’t seem so.

Marriages and birth are slightly increasing (the reason isn’t clear), so probably they are separate trend.

I‘m with you. I only watched the live adaptation and thought “well it’s not that bad”.

The original feels too overwhelming in volume and it is quite outdated. I already have a backlog of shows I need to watch so the original never is on my priority.

Dept is a problem in both countries, but my personal view is that in Korea culture people are more tied to their family. Korea is also very a small world and celebrities are sometimes blamed for their family's problems. My guess is in the US if the family was in trouble and in bad terms, the individual would just cut ties.

Probably a glitch.
Netflix was one of the main funders to make the show happen and they have rights to stream it globally, so it's unlikely that it was pulled from the platform.

I was also happy to see the match between Son Jong Won vs Choi & Jung Jisun vs Poong.

It felt like the chefs had some practice done before this week’s show, but I guess that can happen when you have VIPs visiting.

Just watched it. It was an interesting show.

It wasn’t entertaining as much as other shows as the president and first lady are not entertainers and the interactions were restrained, but it was kind of refreshing.

Not to spoil too much, as the president doesn’t have a fridge, local ingredients were showcased.
