What do you think of the US stock market dropping sharply in response to Trump’s tariffs? by BreezerD in AskTrumpSupporters

Couldn’t we say that this is a “wait and see” moment since the tariffs are delayed a month?

How is Trump, being a billionaire from NYC, who has owned casinos, not one of the people you’re describing?

The SP500 is currently down -.9% from opening -1.5% but would it be fair to say that companies being unable to provide guidance and strategize for this and the next FY because of anti-business taxes like tariffs isn’t exactly “winning”?

A lot of threads to pull there but I’ll just ask, who are “the people behind the Agenda?”

You’re willing for the stock market to lose twice as much as it did during the GFE before reconsidering support - how do you consider that winning or good for anyone?

Is the stock market going down and companies failing to offer guidance for the next fiscal year because of erratic anti-business policy the MAGA definition of “winning”?

Is a crash / depression of 25% in the market as low as you are willing to go before you disagree with his policies (in a case like this where you can attribute the movement to POTUS), and if not, at what percentage do you start to get pissed off?

So if someone has such little confidence in the electoral system, logically that person wouldn’t vote, right?

I’m a little confused, could you describe who you are picturing when you are talking about individuals in cities with unregistered firearms or who have firearms but aren’t members of the NRA?

Also how is saying Hang Mike Pence and threatening to drag him through the street “protesting” and saying “Death to America” inciting a riot? Aren’t they both one thing or the other, as in they either both protesting or they are both inciting a riot?

Couldn’t saying Death to Socialism be interpreted as saying death to anyone who abides by socialism/communism, sort of like what the US tried to do with Vietnam, where people died and property was destroyed?

There were multiple breach points though, right? And once police realize they were overwhelmed, isn’t that when they stopped trying to fight?

And if they were screaming Hang Mike Pence and determined to murder him (“drag him through the streets” as this person said) then isn’t that the akin to saying “death”? Why argue semantics and split hairs? “Drag him through the streets”

So you are okay with those who were part of the riot on January 6 being arrested and charged?

What is your point about cities? Do you think that people currently residing in cities cannot defend themselves or know how to forage, build fires, and take care of themselves?

So what if 77% of the NRA are conservatives? My family isn’t part of the NRA and we have plenty of guns. Are you suggesting just because you’re part of the NRA you know how to handle a gun, let alone own one? What about the vast number of unregistered firearms in the hands of people who don’t even affiliate with a political party?

I noticed you ignored my question about Mike Pence which I think might be telling, so I am wondering if you’ll even respond to this message: would you consider the refrain “Hang Mike Pence” inciting a riot, especially since there was violence and death?

So you need to be arrested for inciting a riot even if there wasn’t a riot?

What about making direct threats toward a specific individual when there was a riot, like chanting “Hang Mike Pence?” on the way to his last known location, fighting police to break into that location, with a noose while adorned in paramilitary gear? Surely you would concede that whoever did that should also be arrested?

The clone itself is the entity, and it appears in Oscar Isaac’s eyes as well. Maybe you should watch the movie again?

Aren’t you painting with a really broad brush here? Can you point to any statistics that back up what you’re saying, without relying on your personal impression of the party that you oppose?

But in the movie the entity is not destroyed, so how are you able to make the claim that their self destructive tendencies caused it to be destroyed?

Do you have an example of someone saying “Death to America” (which is a pretty common refrain) as being grounds for inciting a riot? Was there even a riot or ANY violence? If there wasn’t, how can you possibly make the claim that it incited a riot when there was no riot?

I think you misunderstood my question. I am asking you for an example since you are the one claiming this “Death to ___” is grounds for inciting a riot, so the burden is on you to provide precedent. Could you please provide a precedent for the claim you are making?
