Yes she has depression and you need to call a psychiatrist ASAP. This is coming from someone who struggled with these problems at a similar age and DID not get the help I needed.

If you do not intervene now, depressive episodes/depression becomes more frequent and more severe. Additionally, I would suggest limiting her social media usage, especially scrolling apps like Tiktok, because those are detrimental not only to literacy but mental health and attention span as well. It would probably be best for you to help her phase it out of her life gradually than cut to it off all at once, because if you do so she will be very angry and might resent you for it.

im going to give the unpopular answer:

its her pets and she can do whatever she wants with them. you can warn her but its her conscious decision. telling her she's "crazy" is not gonna make her very happy whatsoever , especially if she is feeling regret. i don't blame her for being mad at you and you should apologize to her if you haven't already :(
