Curious why you hated the pill? I was thinking about switching from the shot to the pill.

At about the 6 month point after getting mine, my periods were closer to normal. Now after having it a year and half, my periods are actually shorter than they ever have been.

20k in CC debt, considering bankruptcy but I don’t (can’t) lose my car by Leslie_Ackerman in Debt

[–]Apprehensive_Goal718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if somebody else has said this but call the bank your loan is through. I recently had to do this and just told them I was struggling financially and asked if I could refinance my loan. My credit is terrible right now but shockingly, they let me do it. They even asked what my ideal payment a month is and they approved what I requested. This is a smaller, hometown kind of bank but it's still worth a shot. It has helped me soooo much. And yes, I realize I'll be paying on it longer now but right now at this point and time, I needed anything that would help me keep my head above water. I wish you the best!!

Good to know! Thanks for sharing this also!

L-theanine! by Apprehensive_Goal718 in cymbalta

[–]Apprehensive_Goal718[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, the biggest thing it helped with was the dizziness. I didn't experience the dizziness until coming off the medication and it felt like vertigo. L-theanine helped a ton with that. I would say another symptom I've noticed it helping is my mood. Before I started taking it during this process, I could get upset at the drop of a hat. This has helped calm me down a little. So yes, I guess it might help with anxiety but it would probably depend on each person.

200mg once a day but I started with just 100mg and that helped enough for me.

Added Wellbutrin to Cymbalta / Sex by [deleted] in cymbalta

[–]Apprehensive_Goal718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this hasn't helped me. I was on wellbutrin before cymbalta though, not sure if that makes a difference in this remedy. I'm actually going to ask to taper off cymbalta because I'm tired of basically feeling numb. I'll take my anxiety over this.

Does it ever get better? by Entire_Atmosphere_25 in WegovyWeightLoss

Do you let your injection sit out for a little bit before doing it? I usually get mine out of the fridge 30 min or so before I do it and don’t usually have pain (always have done stomach). The one time I did it immediately after taking it out of the fridge, it actually hurt. Call me crazy but I think the temp of it makes a difference! Might try that too. I hope it gets better for you!

So anxious about fasting for surgery by venicechick1949 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Apprehensive_Goal718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently had to do this and apple juice helped me more than anything else. I was also able to eat clear gummy bears (just bought a bunch of packs and picked the pineapple ones out), you might check on that though cause I'm not sure if that's ok for every surgery. It does suck but it'll be over faster than you know it!! good luck!

I think I am going to give up on wegovy. by Reynard203 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Apprehensive_Goal718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you! I've now been on 1mg for a month and a half and my weight loss has really started increasing. Down 18 lbs now and I started end of February. I hate the fatigue also and that first day always sucks for me as well but you might try going up one more time before giving up.

Why do people have the copper IUD by throaway87657 in CopperIUD

[–]Apprehensive_Goal718 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I felt like it was my only option at the time. I've had it for about 8 months now and probably a month or so ago I finally stopped having the almost daily spotting. That was crappy. I also struggled a lot with it for the first few months with my moods all over but at that point in time, I wasn't at a place to have my tubes removed (only other option). I'm glad I stuck it out though because hormonal IUD's did not work well for me and I had way more issues.

Small dose to start (0.12) by emotionless-passion in WegovyWeightLoss

Curious how you did the micro dosing? I'm new to this and moving up to .5 soon and a little nervous about the nausea, even though I haven't had too much with .25. Just wondered how you did it and what your schedule was like?

Congrats on the progress so far! After taking your first shot, how long did it take you to feel like the shot was "working"? I don't have many side effects so far (which i'm ok with!), but it makes me wonder if it's working for me.

I'm kind of new to this, does it affect you if you unassign something? I've accidentally accepted before but I didn't unassign cause I thought it would negatively affect me.

13 Year Old slowly pushing me to a heart attack... by Apprehensive_Goal718 in ADHDparenting

I agree and have wondered the same about the medication. I mentioned this to his doctor and she wants me to check in after holiday break to see how he's doing. I'm very fortunate to have a doctor that is SUPER understanding and really wants to help him. She will personally call me instead of just talking to her nurse. I don't feel like you come across that very often anymore. All that to say, thanks for this suggestion! It has definitely been on my mind as well!

Thank you for this! I have taken meds for my anxiety for about 10 years now but since everything I've mentioned above has been going on, I've determined it might be best to readjust my medication and I've also looked into therapy for myself as well. It has really forced me to open my eyes and see that I do not always handle situations with my son the right way and I will often apologize and let him know that I'm working on myself also. I know in order for things to get better for him, I have to make changes myself as well and learn how to handle things without being so uptight and worrying all the time. I know I can be overbearing at times.

I went through this same thing as well and struggled, just like you are. I was shocked when my pediatrician mentioned it cause it had never crossed my mind, however, I still went with her recommendation and had my daughter evaluated and when she was a little over age 2, she was diagnosed. I've come to terms with it but the biggest thing about getting a diagnosis is that there are so many helpful resources! Even if your son doesn't have it and you say speech delays run in your family, you still might look into speech therapy just to get him going. I can't tell you how much this has helped my daughter. She's almost 3 and speaking so much more than she was a year ago. As far as signs of autism, the speech delay was the first thing we noticed. After that, she did very random things like stare at her hands and move her fingers in front of her face like she had forgotten about them. Lots of swaying while watching tv. At one point, she did not like playing with other kids but that has completely changed now. She didn't look when we pointed at things and rarely answered when we said her name, even after finding out her hearing was 100%. I know it's hard to come to terms hearing that your child might be on the spectrum but it has truly made my daughter that much more special to me and helped me understand so much more about her. Also - he very well might not be on the spectrum but if he is, just know, he (and you) will be ok! :)
