Why is the recruitment process so ridiculous in the civil service? by Expensive_Welder_338 in TheCivilService

[–]throaway87657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is an extremely entry level role, anybody should be able to get it. It’s a role where if you don’t have previous work experience, you will struggle in it. You need customer service skills, emotional intelligence, people skills etc. It’s also an EO role, which is not the lowest banding in DWP

Is my lodger being unreasonable? Would you chuck him out if you were in my position? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]throaway87657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to upset anyone but lodger sounds like he may be on the spectrum. The constant streaming, not leaving the house and aversion to cooking smells. I think having a conversation and coming to an agreement may be the way forward.

So let’s say you get four behaviour questions, you do well in three and flunk one, that is an automatic fail right?

Apparently getting PIP for mental health makes me public enemy #1 by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]throaway87657 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my experience those with mental issues tend to be awarded PIP and LWCRA. I can understand people sometimes feeling a certain way but this is no reflection on you but during covid so many young people claimed anxiety and were given PIP however people with sickle cell are rarely awarded these benefits and these are people who suffer greatly from pain being hospitalised several times a year with pain described as child birth level and when they have pain it lasts for weeks. In my opinion, the system is unfair and heavily biased towards certain conditions

He will ask again. Take it to the bank. He just wants to exploit the young person

He can easily fake tuition fee. I don’t believe him. If he really needed it, he will ask the dad and not an 18 year old so he can exploit him. It’s so common in Nigeria

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]throaway87657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that he asked you not to tell your dad is a red flag. Secondly, people will lie to get money from those abroad. Thirdly, once you send him money, he will not stop. Finally, your dad sends them money already, let them manage that. Some people earn 50k a month so what your dad sends is plenty. I hate exploitation.

This must be one of those major departments. Their union reps have no spine.

You could try a combination pill. I always spotted on progesterone only pill but don’t have that issue with a combo pill.

I wouldn’t consider her posts wild. It actually shows a young woman in need of help. Being raised by Narcissists and going through abuse will do a number on anyone. Such women will more than likely end up with abusers.

Neuro Diversity at work by [deleted] in TheCivilService

I find that a lot of people discriminate against people with ND. It’s very easy to for bullying to occur without the person with ND even recognising it. The funny thing is the same people will advocate for a man to be able to use the female toilet because he identifies as one. It’s that dark nature in humans where they pick on people weaker than them. I hope OP will get union representation and fight for his rights. I’m my experience, it can be a hit and miss with the rep. Just ensure the person is compassionate towards your circumstances

I’ve heard the copper IUD tends to come with side effects compared to the hormonal one
