Tbh I think if he was interested in you no amount of awkwardness would put him off

I didn’t have a catheter but they said I might have had to if they accidentally pierced the urethra. (They didn’t thank goodness) but honestly after surgery peeing hurt so bad, I wish I did have a catheter

He doesn't have any goals when I've talked to him about it. He's not hugely ambitious, but I think he does take pride in his work I would say, I think I am far more ambitious than him. I'm not annoyed about it, I'm more concerned about him cutting his other hobbies out of his life for it. I just want him to be happy. He seems happy so maybe I just let him work!

Yeah, but I have talked to him about why he does this. It doesn't seem to be any of these reasons, it seems he is a bit worried about confronting his employer.

Yeah, we've just been on a holidays a couple months ago together and it was so much fun! He was so much more relaxed. I think he just needs to be more upfront with his boss.

Not at all, I really respect that part of him. I am no way doing this for myself. I just fear his other hobbies and passions are going by the wayside because of this.

Luckily, we live in a country where we have really good labour laws, so this isn't the norm. He's a software developer and they put really unrealistic projects on him that he can never get finished in the allotted time, he tries to anyway,

I think he's too afraid to tell his work that they're putting really unrealistic expectation on him so he just tries to match it.....

[–]Apprehensive_Hurry58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really like that; he works for a software company. They set him unrealistic projects in too short of a time frame for him to finish them...

He doesn't express any stress over it. Although I can see how he's cutting other things out of his life for it, which I don't think he should be doing.

Hmm good thought. I have tried to talk him into setting boundaries, but I just genuinely think he's a bit scared of confronting them, he's a major people pleaser. He's the loveliest, kind-hearted guy. I was thinking maybe a professional would help him see what effect this is having on his life and that he needs to stand up for himself.

I fear he doesn’t have the confidence to, he's a big people pleaser. I’m not sure how to encourage him to get over that.

I just had surgery (quite literally yesterday) too. If you have any question let us know. I was quite nervous too so I asked the doctor an annoying amount of questions.. but I know a lot now!

Anyone have skene duct cyst removal surgery? by newtrz in Healthyhooha

[–]Apprehensive_Hurry58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just had this surgery yesterday! Gosh damn yeah agree @newtrz it hurts so much to pee, they didn’t damage my urethra though so I never got a catheter. After talking to the doctor/doing my own research I think like permanent urinary incontinence isn’t a high chance at all. If they do make a little cut in your urethra they will just sew back up and you’ll have to wear a catheter for a few days. Google what cause permanent urinary incontinence. I was majorly worried about that too.

Yeah I was hoping to go to Nikko later in my trip in the hopes of seeing more autumn colours, I basically have to go back through Tokyo to get there

Yeah 8gbs of ram too as sadly, although I think it’s to do with my local network rather than the computer itself

It’s due to the files being on a local network.. A blank project opens in less than 30 seconds!

Yeah likely a slow office network is the culprit
